Renders Audi Q9

Rendering design concepts, development to final presentation, upcoming technology and development, and what is coming next
The headlights seems to be slimmer and less sharp than other Audi models. The grill is also very much softer and rounder edged and smaller.

The profile looks quite different to Q7 and appears longer with a broad D pillar and more raked rear screen.

Another shot of the interior, which I think looks quite good although its completely different to the Q7 and I am not sure if will be of the same build or material quality.

It turned out that this is the Audi Q6 for China, not the Q9... but it's bigger than the Q7 ?

Save the brand name, this China-only Q6 has very, very little if anything to do with the "genuine Q6" (aka PPE-based Q6 etron).

The dashboard looks welcoming and is less reminiscent of the front fascia of a Miele oven.

So there is no Q9?

...an illustrators' vision of a possible Q9 etron (and no-NOT the "Landjet"):

The illustration appears to be inspired by the contours of a tarped, elevated ride height SAC that appears in the backround of footage shots at an Audi Design Studio venue for the "Sphere Concept (s)" promotional segment. The veiled car is speculated to be the upcoming PPE Q8 (or Q9) etron That was sometime late last summer.

SAIC Audi has officially unveiled the all-new Q6 in China, as a full-size ICE-powered three-row SUV with a larger footprint than the Q7. Despite the similar name, the Q6 has nothing to do with the upcoming Q6 e-tron EV, since it is based on the MQB architecture and will be exclusively offered in China.

Measuring 5,099 mm (200.8 inches) long, 2,014 mm (79.3 inches) wide, and 1,784 mm (70.2 inches) tall, the Q6 is slightly larger than the Q7. However, the 2,980 mm (17.3 inches) wheelbase is a tad shorter, and identical to the closely-related VW Atlas which is also produced by SAIC for the Chinese market.

The dashboard gets the familiar 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit, a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, a head-up display, and an extra 8.6-inch touchscreen for the climate controls, combined with ambient lighting and metal-like accents. There is also a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system for entertainment, retractable cup holders, retractable phone holders, and sunshades for the rear passengers. Safety-wise, the Q6 can be equipped with the Audi AI Pro pilot package for L2+ ADAS.

The MQB-based model is available with a range of turbocharged petrol engines. The 45TFSI is fitted with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 262 hp (195 kW / 265 PS) and 400 Nm of torque. The more powerful 50TFSI is fitted with a 2.5-liter six-cylinder producing 295 hp (220 kW / 299 PS) and 500 Nm of torque allowing a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration in 7.3 seconds. All models come standard with an automatic gearbox, quattro all-wheel drive and DCC adaptive dynamic suspension.

Audi has started taking reservations for the Q6 in China, with prices ranging between ¥500,000 ($74,127) and ¥650,000 ($96,366) depending on the variant.

2,5 l six cylinder engine?

It doesn’t fit in with the Ethos Audi are currently projecting with its Sphere Concept Series or any latest Audi product. It’s more a domestic Chinese facsimile of an Audi.

Will this not come under the new nomenclature?
Q7 is now Q9 as A6 is now A7 and A4 is now A5?

Would this size be a first attempt for the VW Group or will it be based on that American VW Atlas (I think it's called)?

Looks like the Q9 is based on their upcoming PPC platform. This is so long overdue..

I read that autocar.co.uk presents these same photos as the next Q7 and says that the Q9 will also arrive almost at the same time, I don't know if they or everyone is a little confused by the camouflage

Ya I saw that too..I think they are confused. Because other publications like carscoops, motor authority, and motor1 all say it's the Q9. It looks bigger than both generations of the Q7 as well..my money is on it being the Q9.

It’s a reskinned VW Atlas from the US market

OK hold up.

Are these images actually real? I've been so out of touch with the forum, but surely this is not real?

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
