Renders Audi Q9

Rendering design concepts, development to final presentation, upcoming technology and development, and what is coming next
Mazda proves that slim headlights on a big car with a big grile can look handsome. Heck, look at the audi Grand sphere
I think it will be a different case, the headlights on the top will most likely be only DRLs, they will be very thin, but we will see, hope it will be good

The change in the stylistic direction is noticeable and evident, it does not resemble the prototypes of any Q at all, a bit because it is a new model that did not exist and also already reflects (finally) a total turn in this sense in line with the latest concepts
How it looks now and how the comparative photos reflect it looks like something Japanese

For next gen A6 that’s perfect, for a larger than Q7 size SUV Im not sure
For better or for worse, it seems that the split-light theme is infectious among automakers. With regards to Audi's approach of obscuring (darkening) the main lighting units while highlighting the DRL "brows" seems to be the most aesthetically-pleasing approach thus far.

So... The Audi Q.... ID9 is joining BMW in the Citroen/Hyundai split headlight design fad...

Ridiculous overhangs.

Ridiculous overhangs.
Are they tho?

Assuming they would have the same wheel size (which helps with proportions) and Assuming they would be exactly the same length, the Audi would have a shorter front overhang than the GLS and a slightly shorter rear overhang than the X7

The A6 Concept previewed their headlight game.

The car in the forefront may be presenting the actual production version of the A6 eTron:

Presented sans tarp to a closed audience at the 2019 Audi Tech Day event, it remains a mystery to those who did not attend. All very "hush, hush" and cryptic. More recent information indicates that this car is a much closer reflection of reality than what was originally anticipated.

At least the interior looks functional and becoming of a car, unlike the iX which is a catastrophe from a HMI perspective. I mean, BMW have put important tasks while driving behind multiple touchscreen inputs, yet you can take a selfie by smiling. You cannot make it up.

I don't think that we'll be seeing this here in the EU. That's good.

Oddly, save for the front light bar, I don't hate it as much as I thought I would. Still not an Audi I'd consider since it's Atlas-based.

Its just very un-Audi. It’s not clean, clinical with that famous sharpness in its design.
A Silver lining however? Is there going to be a Q9?

As the "rumour mill" currently expresses, an elevated ride height luxury crossover will accompany the Grandsphere Concept inspired low ride height luxury flagship "shooting sedoupe". A possible "Q9 etron" nomenclature has been hinted.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
