Audi Nuvolari

It's 20 road cars.

The 20 car requirement is for race cars. It's 10 race cars within 12 months and another 10 within 12 months after that. At the time the requirement was introduced a number of manufacturers were non-compliant. Some attempted to produce the required number of cars (Honda/Acura with the NSX GT3 for example), some didn't bother and subsequently disappeared (Cadillac ATS-V GT3 for example).

How do you think the following cars were homologated? Mosler MT900R GT3, Ginetta G55 GT3, Chevron GR8 GT3, Radical RXC GT3, Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG 003C

Those cars are/were not homologated by the FIA for GT3 use, they race(d) in GT classes at the discretion of the relevant national motorsport authority.

none of these companies make hundreds of vehicle per year

I didn't say they did - but they also don't have FIA homologated GT3 cars - which is kind of the point. Warren Mosler and Jim Glickenhaus have both openly discussed their annoyance at this.

I'm familiar with the technical regs, what do you think they demonstrate?

Audi are building over 300 (499) of them anyway so its a moot point either way. I expect this to be the basis of there customer GT3 program, why wouldn't they replace the R8 with a new platform given that the R8 was a sales and on track success?`

The only thing I’d change on this is to make the exhaust in the shape of the Audi four rings logo. I don’t like how there is no Audi logo at the rear apart from the on the spoiler. You should be able to tell what car it is from the rear.

296 speciales coming in at $700k+ for coupes. I feel like this car is kind of a bargain if it’s $700k in the US.
The 296 Speciale is a souped up 296, this on the other hand is a bespoke car based on the Temerario.

Passive dampers btw, but you can adjust them like on a RS6 GT with tools.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
