There isn't going to be an A9. The name will be R9 for the Le Mans concept and as told before, it will be on the Lambo Gallardo platform.

Oh so it's going to be built on the same platform as the Gallardo. I though these cars are just going to use the same engine.

The Audi R9 / Le Mans will be based on the Lambo Gallardo, and NOT the A6.

Gallardo and LM Quattro are made on the same base, just like MC12 and Enzo, CLK and Crossfire...

I was reading an article in Italian EVO, they said LM Quattro will soon go to production...I can't wait, the car is beautiful and Audi needs something like that, don't you think??

For some sad reason Audi seems to have trouble tanslating their stunning concepts into production reality. Just look a the Q7. Lets hope this car doesn't suffer the same fate.

So, Audi will introduce A5 as A4-based coupe.
Let's look at A4 line up then: A4 Sedan, A4 Avant, A4 cabrio, A5 (coupe)

I can see an upcoming dilemma here: will future A4 cabrio still be branded as A4 cabrio or changed to A5 cabrio? And what will happen to A5 coupe when/if A4 cabrio gets metal folding roof?

The same problem BMW have faced with 3er coupe & cabrio vs 4er coupe &cabrio, and cloth vs metal folding cabrio roof. I'm very curious what will happen to new 3er coupe sales when 3er CC comes. I guess most people (except true enthusiasts) will opt for CC instead of coupe. Will Audi follow that path or not?

Tine, I can't honestly see someone buying such a car not knowing that a hardtop cabrio still is a cabrio to the bone, and not the same as a true coupe.

I think there is fairly little chance of those new babies being carnivorous

THis is very nice. I would definitely want to get one. Does anyone have any information on the engine of this baby. I am going to check up on the thread, I haven't read anything actually.

That is a crazy looking console.... really different from anything i ever seen.

Really Alex? ...The moment I saw that interior shot, I instantly linked that console to a mix of the A6 and A8 interiors. The dashboard design is A6, but the slightly angled up 'control-board' is very much like the A8's.
