As in make a TT-esque Audi off of the 718 EV platform? That would be even more damaging to the already limited appeal of the EV Coxsters. Insane.

Why would that be damaging? Audi and Porsche have been sharing platforms for ages now, it actually makes sense for them to share the 718 EV platform.

The 718 EV platform is not an EV platform anymore BTW, but a hybrid EV/ICE platform

Porsche hasn’t shared a sports car platform. The 718 EV is already on the back foot massively. Let’s make it even less exclusive and attractive by sharing it with an Audi. This isn’t a Cayenne or Macan.

I didn't like it much. I don't see any design coherence. The back resembles the Gallardo. Still, I appreciate it for being a bold car. I hope BMW will show the same boldness...

I think the 718 EV based Audi has a decent, more consistent chance at success than the e-Tron GT.

Audi has learned from the pre-facelift e-Tron GT market flooding disaster where they were forced to do $600-800 leases taking 50k off MSRP.

They've mentioned the new coupe will be actually more limited in production. And with the style and interior quality to back it up I think it will do a bit better than the GT

The project was given the go-ahead in March 2025, and they managed to bring it to fruition very quickly.

For some reason, it doesn't look quite right; it seems like a "here's a chassis with a Lamborghini engine, slap an Audi-like body on it and rush it" kind of thing.
It looks forced; the C concept is 1,500 times better executed.

Like: The fundamentally very clean, precise body surfacing. Save the seemingly obligatory side airvents and the carbonfiber intake opening cowlings, a compelling example of Audi's upcoming Radical Next/Clarity design transformation process. Lighting units are nice as well. As is the interior design.

Otherwise...I cannot and perhaps should not comment. I have never been a fan of the wedged, cabin far forward supercar/hypercar ilk. Disliked them since the original Lamborghini Countach, actually. And how I mourned the passing of the original Miura. Regardless of brand. A sedan, Sportback, Avant or long-hooded GT concept would excite me so much more. Hopefully, we will see some of those in the not too distant future.

Not feeling it at all. Long front overhang, botched side profile and a overall look of a kit car, something cobbled together in a hurry for an auto show or something. For now: Hard Pass.

After seeing it on some rl footage, it looks much better than the 3D renderings Audi decided to use for presentation. From some angles its still weird, but overall looks very futuristic. I quite like it:

I'm 100% with you on this. Cab rearward Miura design is peak elegance and beauty. Almost every Lambo supercar, even today is just the same evolution of the basic cab forward wedge established by the Countach.

I miss the 06 Miura Concept, wish that made it to production.

I don't see any advantage in radical designs unless they're aesthetically pleasing. The best example is Neue Klasse. It's beautiful, but not a radical design. The current X1 is very good, but not radical. I've never seen anyone criticize the X1 for its design. The sales figures are excellent too. They tried a different design with the ICE X3, and it's not attractive at all. The same goes for the iX and 5 Series. The 7 series received a lot of criticism before the facelift. The only thing these designs generated was endless debate rather than praise. As a result, Neue Klasse was born and discarded the radical design trend.

BMW needs to be bolder in diversifying its model range. Even the M car they created after all these years turned out to be a strange-looking SUV. Looking at its market position, it's clear that people don't want it.

The base model has to be the same car from the same brand. The Temerario very clearly is not the base model of this, it's only technically based off the Temerario, which means something completely else.



But at least the TT was originally intended to be based off the upcoming Porsche from the get-go, whereas this Nuvolari seems like a bandage on the wound as said by yourself in other words (I agree) and seems to be an afterthought.....

Audi needed a new chassis to replace the R8 GT3, they built 310 of them, those customers want a new car, this is it.

If todays lambos were not based on the Countach they would look like every other supercar, just different headlight/tailight designs. The Countach -> Diablo -> Murcielago -> Aventador -> Revuelto evolution is probably one of the best, and most progressive lines in car history. They managed to keep all the models true to their core design philosophy, consistent, yet fresh, exciting, desirable for every generation. I can’t tell the same about Ferrari or McLaren. When you see a Lambo, you know you see a Lambo, and thats the point. Same like a 911, just with more freedom on the details. Both are icons for a reason.

I saw the first batch of photos on my phone. I was too keen. At first blush it looked to be an exciting thing for Audi. The second take has me less enthusiastic.

That's why you're supposed to hit it and quit it.

I think it looks kind of heavy with all that flat sheet metal surfaces. The launch colour doesn't help either. It brought the Cybertruck to my mind. The interior looks cool though!

They need to make 300 road cars a year for that to work, which is clearly not going to happen.
