A3/S3/RS3 Audi A3 Concept for Geneva

The Audi A3 is a small family car (C-segment) manufactured by Audi AG. Production: 1996-
I'd buy this thing, and I'm a BMW fanboy. This thing makes the talk of the 1er Gran Sport more interesting to me as well....

I don't get all the complaining about expanding product lines, some of this stuff is going to be outrageous!

For crying out loud, enough with the 1er "Gran Coupe Sport 4-door" cowdung.

It's sugarcoating only for 1er SALOON, nothing more !

It looks so good. But well, its a sketch and nearly all sketches look good. Looking forward to see it live.

EXACTLY!;)

I like this sketch - Hindsight: Dream + wind tunnel + legislation = reality / final production model:t-banghea

As with any concept or sketch, the production model will be proof of how we feel. MIND YOU! IF AUDI CAN DELIVER A NEW AND FRESH PRODUCT THAT LOOKS AS GOOD AS THEIR LOST DESIGN ENGINEER PETER SCHREYER'S KIA's then they will have a perfect looking A3 sedan:usa7uh:

I can't see this ending up much shorter than the Jetta, to meet crash andpedestrian requirements will increase the front overhang at the very least. Though if they combine the great front of the A6 was a sweet rear then I reckon they are on to a winner.

It's a cool "Sketch",the front end bares a strong resemblance to the Sportback Concept. I think I'll reserve judgement for the final product.

When you say reserve judgement for the final product, does that mean the actual concept at the show or the production model itself?

Definitly the concept, that's what that skecth is right? By then I'll have a pretty good idea what styling cues the production version will retain.

Unfortunately when it comes to production it won't get the 408 HP 2.5l TFSI I5 other than in the RS3 version until it come to the end of its lifecycle. At best there will be a 308 PS HP 2.0l TFSI I4 in the S3 model. :(

It will receive this engine though I can't say what the output will be other than more than the 340ps it presently does. I reckon bare minimum of 360ps but possibly a little higher.

It's definitely a good looking sketch. Let's hope the real deal is going to look as good as the drawing.

WOW! That's very nice! The body line has more sculptured than outgoing Audi now, but the interior is a bit boring i guess..

Should have been the A4, now that is hot! The A4 is in trouble if they bring this to market looking anything like that. WOW. I'll take a S3 please. It almost looks like the previous generation A4 but with the new styling details applied.

love the interior, minimalistic, yet seems high quality,
exterior classic audi, no surprises there...thats not necessarily a bad thing

^
90's A4.....Dare mr.BMW say that he likes it?:icon_roll he does;)

IF 90% of the concept can make it to production Audi will have a winner...although, I haven't lost faith in the next 1er coupe AND now BMW...the door is open to start producing a 1er sedan!

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
