All right gentlemen, you know the rules. No hits below the waistline, no names calling, no personal attacks, no running on wet floor, no alcohol under 18 and no drugs. Other than that, fire!

Which one would be your choice and why?

Where is the Giulietta? :P

Audi A3, without any doubt: looks understadly good, is practical and according to most reviews, is the best driving Audi this side of the R8. 2nd place to the Bimmer, after facelift -hoping they fix that mess- It should be my first choice, but it's too ugly.

The Volvo seems a great car but I don't like it (not saying is ugly), same for the Golf, too boring for me.

Last place to the Merc: impractical and noveau riche ugly.

Regards

This time I chose A3. After all this is a category FF-T layout category and the next 1 Series will also be FF-T. A3 is almost perfect both interior and exterior. Nothing looks as good, unfortunately not even the Giulietta. I wish Da Silva went back to draw Alfas. Now with 2 Series it would be a different story, but that is also a Coupé and not a Hatch.

My second choice would be the Volvo V40. Different but not much worse and for lower price.

As someone with a family my choice can only be the Golf, it's boot is by far the best shape plus it the most mature and only one with understated prestige.

I voted for o'l face:( LOL.

The 1er is the most dynamic, great engine choices and cabin - especially behind the wheel/seating position etc. makes it the drivers choice IMO.

I am nearly equally impressed by the A3 and Golf alike, the new A-class WAS a favorite but it has many shortcomings vs the latter choices;)

My choice is Golf. I like it both inside and outside. The car doenst need a sportpackage to look good. I cant wait for GTI or R.

- 1-series need xeonlights and M-package to look good.
- I didnt like previous A3 and since A3 is similar to previous version both from exterior design and driving experience its not my cup of tea.
- V40 I dont like at all.
- Dont know what to think of A-class yet but this I know next week.

This is hard. The 1 series is one of my favorite, but the A-class is a work of art. On the other hand the Golf looks so inviting.

VW - New, really classy design. Interior to die for and the eventual GTI version. YeS.

Volvo - Love the design also, I want the safety badge (lol) and the traditional Volvo comfortable seats.

MB - New and fresh, want to see how an entry-level stacks up against the $$$ Benzes.

Is there something wrong with the vote because now it says I voted for the Volvo and I know it was the Golf, plus the Audi and Merc had the most votes but not now.

Hmm, I have no idea what happend. Maybe the poll messed itself up when I added the Giulietta. I guess I'll have to contact the admin...

Guys, sorry for this mess. I restarted the poll. Is it possible that we start the voting from scratch?

Thanks a lot, and once again, sorry for the mess.

All great cars in my mind but what about the Vauxhall Corsa, Ford Focus or Honda Civic? Those honestly would be a more suitable choice for me. Then though, then this poll would be huge. Maybe another poll with the cars missing? Just a thought.

Nevertheless, my choice would be as follows:

3rd: Audi
2nd: Volvo
1st: Alfa

I would bet the Alfa would be the least reliable, and most certainy the car that features the least amount of technological advancement. BUT...I just like it too much. Such soul.

They are on a totally different price range :)

There's lots to like about the Alfa (apart from the interior) but you then factor in reliability and it's a much less appealing package.
