Sorry for canceling the Bimmer love feast, but it is what it is!
The front in is a mini version of the 6 Series, Move the fog lights in, add some extra chrome to the kidney shaped grill and what do ya know!
It's funny how BMW seems to get a pass on these form when it comes to design. Not from me, you you'll want to be critical about Mercedes and Audi design you should be able to except critism as well. People rather send private messages telling me that they agree, but refuse to put it in the air for fear of all the BMW fans!
All ya'll have to do is post a pic of the 3 Series and 6 Series together and explain why I'm wrong! Ya'll rather sit back and make BS comments because you know your amongst friends! P.S 1 vs 30 I like those odds!!

LOL They're as identical as 5er and 7er.
No it's not, the 3 & 6 Series have the same front end. The 5 and 7 Series have the same damn near everything!
O yeah, before I forget, I absalutely love the new 5 Series!
Their making one hell of a statement with that one! I'm sure they got every one knocking down the doors, going crazy!

Now, kindly explain me where do you see any similarities between these two in design? And please spare me of that move the fog lights stuff, 'cause that doesn't justify 0.01% of your claim that 3er is mini 6er...
Damn, it's even more similar than I thought! You didn't even show the same angle and the similarities are uncany.
I really wish you would of posted small pics but I'm a give it a go any way. You know what, I'm gonna put down the differencies in order to save some time and energy ok?1) Slightly different headlight shape
2) Slightly different fog light position
3) The Kidney grill in the 6 has more chrome at the top
4) I was going to say the hood, but I'm not sure! The pic of the 6 series you posted is showing to much side, good try though! trying to devert attention from the front end to the side!
If I was wrong I'd try something like that myself!5) last but not least the 6 Series is a little bit more bulky.
P.S In the future please post pics from the same angle or don't post them, you were obviously trying to show the side and not the front of the 6 Series!

That's utterly stupid if you don't mind! I was asking explanation from you why do you think like that and i posted pics that you were supposed to post in the 1st place to back up your statement. Even if you provide 10 better pics, you'll still fail.
One quetsion more, if we compare all of the big German trio, what do you think, cars from which brand are most different between each other? BMW, MB or Audi?

No problem, it's obvious you have on your Bimmer shades to block out any talk your not trying to hear so it doesn't matter how similiar they are you'll never admit it to yourself. In regards to the question you asked me, Mercedes has the most differences in their exterior design!

Look, Richboy, I don't know how these two cars could be any more different and still maintain the needed BMW family look. I would have no problem at all if your claim was a generally accepted view but you're the first one I've ever heard saying that E92 and 6er look very similar. I've seen a hundreds of pics and both cars dozens of times and still I can't see any more similarity than between 5er and 7er for example (which look totally different). You also make it sound like BMW had a problem with models looking too much like each other when it's actually almost on the contrary. The so called pre-Bangle BMWs had a very few differences in design but every model on the current line-up has its own unique look (of course with some BMW trademark details such as angel eyes, Hoffmeister kink, shark fin antenna etc.) Out of the 3 Germans Audi is the one who might suffer from the "same sausage, different lengths" -philosophy.
