this entertaining to read. Luwalira think A5 front end looks old and you think E92 rear looks old. Funny arguments :D

Well it does look a bit old. It is more or less an A6 front with a different bumper and sleeker head lights.

I see I was missed, thank you all for thinking about me!:usa7uh:
The bulk of the post seem to be from different members basically repeating what Tycoon had said earlier. Please get some of your own material for god sakes!:t-hands: From what I've read Tycoon can handle his own business!

Now back to the discussion we were having Tycoon, you made some valid points earlier, I fully understand your position, however I can't help that the differences between the 2 don't seem as dramatic to me as to you! I posted a pick of the 3-Series with what I believe is the M package above, it looks like a 6 series to me. I do apologize if my earlier remarks incited you! I've read many of your post and I don't believe you or Just_Me are fanboys. I can't say the same for the rest of them but I promised myself I wouldn't address them so I won't. I believe BMW cleaned up all the in perfections of the 6 Series with the 335i. For that I cangradulate them.:eusa_clap

Please heed Tycoon's warning, due not continue to discuss this, this thread is for the comparison of the A5 and 335i, discuss whatever you were earlier via PM as Tycoon clearly stated.

I don't want any useless argue to occur in this thread and i don't want it to be ruined with many irrelevant posts in 10 pages!

What has been said, it's said! Me and RICHBOY, if needed, will continue this matter through PM and this thread will continue to live as it's supposed to: cool and nice discussions about two "jewels" from Germany! Nothing else!

Or it can be closed i 3 seconds that i need to do that, you choose.

Thanks!

:t-cheers:

maybe this poll was created to early..
i would still vote for the 3er.. and i belive the 3er would win a later poll..
but im seeing that many ( atleast the audi fans) are starting to like this car more now that there are more pics.. so the results might not have been this devestating..

PS
About the 3er looking like the 6er-- well i cant agree there..very diffrent

and about labeling others as fanboys.. ive learned that i should shut up in this matter..
as im sure other members see me as a Fanboy..
And i would suggest the same to 90% of the other members on this board..
do not go around falsely beliving that ppl think your unbiased..
You might end up very surprised.. and humiliated in the end:D

Is it only me that sees NO DIFFERENCE what so ever in the fronts of A5 and A6, other then from the side profile?

Screw all of this non-sensical babling about what looks like what. If you like the design thats fine but lets not push our opinions on others. And Please lets not turn this into Autolies and start calling each other fanboys.

Back on topic. I can't wait to see the A5 in person. I saw an 335 on the road today with a hot east asian chick driving it. The car looked hot and I can't wait to see the A5 at the dealers. I still haven't driven the 335 and I think I'll wait for the A5 to arrive at dealerships and then test drive it...as long as it comes soon. So does anyone know the A5's street date in the US?

I'd spend the extra cash for you know what...

^OMG can there be a harder choice..
wow..
superb job from both companys
outstanding looking cars

Wow, that looks much better than it did in the press pics. The dark color seems to do a good job of covering the corny wavy hyundaish shoulder job, which is my biggest gripe with the car.

Just like I said:

Both are good looking sports models.

A5 looks much fatter, more massive, with pronounced luxury stance (note heavy chrome decoration! On a sporty S model!).

E92 on the contrary looks much slender, more dynamic, with pronounced sporty stance.

When I first saw the IRL pics of S5 it looked impressive - especially the front. But now posting both S5 & 335i pics side by side the Audi looks pale. Typically Audish. Definitely not ugly, not boring, yet also not exciting. It's just OK. Will appeal to the regular Audi customer base definitely. Also have much more presence than E92 - due having massive design. Yet still not my taste. But I like the way Audi is going a bit more exciting with every new car they introduce.

I wonder what will happen first: will Audi introduce more dynamic lines (like sharp creases on BMW cars), or will BMW come out with more harmonic shapes & panels like Audi do. :D

Audi harmonic overall design with dynamic & sharp BMW "flame surfacing" creases would be my choice. So, who will be the first one producing it: Audi or BMW? :D

According to the latest info I have that will be BMW.

PS: here is E92 with M-package styling kit:

In this pic the front end looks kind of odd. I love the looks of this car but in this pic (note I said this pic and this pic only...don't shoot me!) the frond end looks really massive and heavy and the bonnet looks too long. Just my observation. Besides that...beautiful car.

The tires look little as hell! They don't fill up the wheel well properly IMO.

^wow damn those are some angry looking cars..lol
i wonder if MB will go this down this angry style with their new CLK..
i guess and hope not..there should be a classy alternative

PS
no diss to these 2 though..love the agressive looks.. :D

Nah, I don't think MB will play the "my dick is bigger than yours" game with design...LOL

But I could be wrong. compared to these 2 MB is like the nerdy kid. :D

Both these cars like Artist said are aggressive from the front when in the S5 or sport package form. I love both of them but i think that the A5 just edges out the 335 by a little. It would be a tough choice to choose between them if i were to buy one.

While I like the 335 more...I do agree with you that it will be a hard choice to choose one from these two cars. :t-cheers:

I thought from the first pics that the S5 was lower to the ground but now I'm not so sure.
