5 Series [Rumors] Any word on details of 2020 5er LCI?

The BMW 5 Series is an executive car manufactured and marketed by BMW since 1972. The car is sold as either a sedan or, since 1991, a station wagon (marketed as "Touring"). A 5-door fastback (marketed as "Gran Turismo") was sold between 2009 and 2017. Each successive generation has been given an internal G-code designation since 2017. Previously, a F-code designation was used between 2010 and 2016, while an E-code designation was used between 1972 and 2010. These are used to distinguish each model and generation from each other.

I might be in the minority here but personally I still like the styling of the F10 more than the...
Yes , F10 over Pre Facelift G30, but with the what I’ve seen so far with the LCI I strongly suspect I’ll prefer the newer car.

F10 looks too heavy. G30 all the way. Looks more elegant and slim than the previous model. I think that current M5 is the most beautiful BMW now. Better than the new 8.

The M Sport Packet of both the refreshed 7 and 5 are far more appropriate for the car. I always thought pre-LCI 7 was tame by normal standards and the 5 was not very sporty looking. The new packets on both LCI have far more sporting definition. With its sharper surface definition and larger intakes.

As part of a prelude to this months later annual report they showed a preview video of the new 5 and the M5. As for the M5 which each generation always plaudits its characteristics as an anonymous but understated business express.
It is slowly losing its anonymity especially in the sharper reprofile of its M styling.

We also get a PHEV Touring something fleet requests have been demanding.

Interestingly in this climate the PHEVs took centre stage
And surprisingly a PHEV was spoken as the flagship model of THE 5 rather than the M Performance.

Will the Touring have the 545e as well?
Just the 545e sedan by the looks of it. The Touring PHEV are more select and conceived for the larger fleet operations customer. Example the Polizei have ordered replacement Tourings of the 3er as the 330e.

that's just plain stupid by BMW.

the sedan has almost no trunk left as PHEV. and the Touring would be a fantastic option.

I believe it would sell like hot cake!

I’m not surprised that the 545e is being spoken of as the flagship. In fact the next generation 5 series (G60) WILL NOT have any M-performance V8 power train. This V8 will be replaced by an in-line-6 based PHEV power train which will first appear on the upcoming BMW X8.

Will the M5 get an update or will this be more in the line of the E9X M cars?

No it's actually getting an update which is unusual for the M cars as they don't usually go through a complete metamorphis.
The Aerodynamic Packet is sharpened such is because of the new larger kidney grille and reshaped front headlights.
You can specify Motegi Red and Ametrin(Individual).
