I see it, my mistake, thanks for the correction

Unlike other years where most large manufacturers made losses, for several 2021 was "The Year", JLR... I'm not talking about you

Currently 65% of all delivered Teslas are made in China. Can't you get this?

I have never seen anyone this thick in my life. Even if that were true, don't you understand that still leaves 35% of them as JUNK coming from California? Like seriously What don't you get here? They're still selling JUNK. Period. This is 2022, not 2023 and the U.S. market is still a problem, WHAT AREN'T YOU GETTING? WHY ARE YOU EVEN ARGUING THIS DUMB NONSENSE? Are American owners supposed to just take comfort that the cars in other markets are better made?

That's why they will correct this with the new factory in Austin. Nothing happens immediately. It takes time. But it's too much for you to undestand.

No what I understand is that you're too limited to understand what the word "NOW" or what "RIGHT NOW" means. Again, are buyers supposed to wait for those factories before they buy their cars? What about the CUSTOMERS THAT ARE BUYING RIGHT NOW? You're literally hosed. What are customers TODAY supposed to do with their junk built Tesla? Can you not answer this question? "Yeah my car is utter shit, but hey the cars coming from the new factory next year will be better than mine" - SAID NO ONE EVER.

These customers still count to the early adopters. Most of them are ready to live with the drawbacks this brings. And according to many surveys as customers they are much happier, than those of the german manufacturers. So who are you to tell them that they should not be happy with their cars? Maybe you shoud e-mail personally to each Tesla owner and explain that with this quality they should not be happy with their cars and that they should go and buy a German product. I'm sure they will donate a lot of streight jackets to you.

When in your view doing they stop being early adopters? Tesla is more mainstream than most other brands here in Europe. It's established. For every Honda I see 25 Teslas (at least!).

When they standardise the production. Currently they have problems with all the products from Fremont. Musk even aknowleged that the model X production is a nightmare. The production from Austin and Berlin is going to be mainstream as the one from China already is.

Even if Germany loses half of it's car industry to newcomers, they won't care since everyone fired at VW can just join the new German war industry and make tanks.

Problem solved, thanks Putin.

And if I were Musk, I'd reconsider making stuff in China. This will backfire in an eventual and inevitable cut-off of China from the western markets like what they're doing with Russia right now.

Until that happens, if it ever were to, which it won't*, it's too big of a market to ignore. Not to mention that a lot of manufacturing in China is to satisfy the domestic market, so even if Import/Export sanctions were be a bit of a problem, so long as you can still move the money in and out of the country why would Tesla cut out 35-40% of their market?

*We can sanction the crap out of Russia because they're a one trick pony - they've got oil and gas, but other than that, most western nations aren't that dependent on them. China is a top 5 trading partner for loads of western economies.

We will do the same with China if they behave like Russia.

Mercedes is going to have one shitty Q1, even by last year's standards. They will probably be 20% down on Q1 2021. For reference, besides 2020 March and April when every thing was shut down, the last time Mercedes sold < 20k cars a month in US was back in 2011.

I gotta say I haven't read anything so stupid in all my time here. Early adopters? So that is the new excuse for garbage quality? I hate to tell you this but Tesla has been building cars for years now and that excuse is just bullshit. Period. Secondly surveys about how happy people are with a car does not mean that the car is quality. Like seriously try to process this. Satisfaction and quality surveys are NOT THE SAME THING. In the USA Tesla DOESN'T EVEN ALLOW THEIR CUSTOMERS TO PARTICIPATE IN QUALITY SURVEYS. Tenth time - WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND HERE? In every survey about quality that there is enough data to measure Tesla, they're at the bottom. NO ONE here was arguing happiness with their cars.

First it was they can't make a quality cars because of the investing in tech.
Then it was oh the new factories are better and everything will be fixed by 2023.
Then it became they're all early adopters, even though the model S and X have been in production for YEARS.
Now it's they're happy with their junk so it's okay.

These are by far the stupidest most idiotic list of excuses I have ever seen. It's worse than American car fanatics trying to defend the junk that GM, Ford and Chrysler made in the 1980's.
