?? You love to draw figures but reality is a fact:

USA

Q2
BMW - 87.948
MERCEDES - 77.287

YTD
BMW - 170.414
MERCEDES - 138.818

NOTE: You wrote the BEV's wrong, Mercedes includes VANS and SMART.
Also, I don't know why you add the EQS to the S, it was Mercedes who decided to make two different cars.

S-Class - 3.164
7 Series - 2,311

There is no smart sale in the USA. Van not included. EQS is a direct competitor to the i7. Why should we separate?

BMW's weakest point is this segment.

Sales in the Top-End segment rose to 26,927 units an increase of 40% in Q2 2023 compared to Q2 2022. Sales for Mercedes-AMG high-performance models totalled 11,835 units, an increase of 66% versus Q2 2022. Demand for the G-Class remains consistently high with sales up 553% from the comparable quarter in 2022, with 3,088 units.

See if you can read the chart again. There are no USA Smart numbers and Vans are a separate line, NOT included in the MB Brand itself total. If the S is still outselling the 7 then what exactly are you proving?

What are you taking about? as always anything, man, the thing is worldwide:

*With 48,257 units sold in the second quarter, BMW M GmbH year-on-year growth of +14.5% and consolidated its position in the high-performance sector
*Mercedes-AMG increased global sales by 19% to 38,000 units in the second quarter

About the EQS and S added, is it a mistake, or do you agree that the iX's should be added to the X5's then?

True, I forgot that Smart failed resoundingly in the USA and they withdrew from there.
On the other I do not try to prove anything, I just post figures as they are.
For information, the W222 - G11 ratio was 2 to 1 or worse, the G70 is already 2/3 of the W223 and going up, it has just started, in any case, as I always said, it is improving compared to the past, we'll see what happens

*The thing about the VANS was my mistake since Mercedes does not mix them in the USA numbers but in the numbers worldwide

However you need to spin your cluelessness.

2023.-
Audi is gaining ground in the three-way battle with BMW and Mercedes-Benz: In the first half of the year, the brand from the Volkswagen Group was able to increase its deliveries significantly more than its two southern German rivals. Audi delivered 907,111 vehicles worldwide in the six months, 15.5 percent more than in the same period of 2022. The month of June was even the best June ever.

The other two premium manufacturers had previously reported weaker growth: the BMW brand grew by 4.7 percent in the first half of the year, and Mercedes-Benz by 6 percent. In absolute numbers, however, both were still well ahead of the Ingolstadt team. BMW sold 1.07 million vehicles by the end of June, Mercedes-Benz 1.02 million.

Out of control...

A year or more ago the statement that VW will invest 30 or 40 Bn. in the EV era... (I don't remember exactly the number it was out there) imagine that scenario, then you start throwing out CEO's and the money already delivered to the different departments... the perfect storm

Spirited address reveals tough times ahead for VW as unprecedented EV investments weigh heavy
In an energetic appeal, the 53-year-old German called for an immediate freeze in spending. “We are letting the costs run too high in many areas,” he said.
