Yes maybe he is childish and does not accept the opinion of others, but the McLaren will be faster and in general a much better car than the Porsche.

The McLaren is far better than the 911 GT2 RS. If it is not, McLaren can yet improuve it as it is not yet out. Then, 911 GT2 RS does not have thesame philosophy as the McLaren. Eventhough the the 911 GT2 RS is more hard core it will get beaten by the MP4-12C. Only the next Porsche 911 Turbo (998) of the nex generation will match and probaly better the new McLaren MP4-12C of the first new generation. I think you have to open your eyes get prepared for the McLaren. It may even be that the 458 Italia is faster than the 911 GT2 RS. You do not know how what is the lap time of the Ferrari on the N-Ring. And the 599 GTO is definitely faster than the 911 GT2 RS, of course it is much more expensive, exclusive and competes in an other category. Don't get blinded by the 911 GT2 RS. Before it was out there already were modded 911 Turbo that made more than 700 PS.

No chance for that time from a RWD car with 600 hp... 3,3-3,5 second. Maybe. Just like the GT2 RS: 3,4-3,5 seconds.
BTW. To be honest, we don't know YET if the McLaren is better than the GT2 RS. What we know is that the 997.1 GT2 is a brutally fast and precise machine and the new RS will be even faster. That's for sure. BUT! We don't know anything YET about the McLaren's handling, performance... All we know: it's the new McLaren.
Let's wait for the first drives, tests.

what opinions lol ? all I see are some guys who don't know shit about performance cars make some silly lists based only on the looks of the car...ok, you don't like the way it looks, I understand, but a performance car is not just about the looks. Only kids (or ignorants) judge cars by the way they look, or prefer one car to another based solely on the looks.

we're not talking about a noname car manufacturer here, we're talking about THE company that gave us the mclaren F1, the best sports car ever made !First of all, that is an unfounded opinion. I don't see any arguments to back it up.
The mclaren is lighter and has much more faster shift times than the manual only Gt2. It also has a much more liniar torque delivery, thanks to a much wider rev-band, which means it can make better use of the power. Therefore it will most likely be faster. Not MUCH faster, but faster still. And this while being a confortable car for daily use, as opposed to the stripped-up beetle which will be pretty much useless on anything other than the track...

Levi, even the 600-700 PS streetlegal-tuned porsche didn't even reached a time under 7.30 min. look at the Techart or the RT-12.
Viper ACR, MC 12, CGT, Zonda F, Enzo, ZR1, CCX, they all should be faster on the Ring or at least similiar fast than the GT2 RS if you just look at the numbers (weight, power, engine, torque...). numbers don't prove much!
Mclaren have to work really hard. Just because they have built the F1, it is not given that their new car will also be better and faster than the current competition.

As I see it, none of these cars is exactly a dud when it comes to driving thrills. It's perfectly possible to make a case for each of them based on their technological merits. Therefore, in the end, it's only logical that the deciding factor is personal preference - something that, for many people, damn well includes the look of the thing (others go for "but it's 0.01 seconds faster round a track" or something along those lines...). What's childish is trying to convince others that your (subjective) opinion is somehow 'right'. Please remember that from now on.

Heritage is playing a big role in the voting I feel. I doubt to many have driven any of these cars so it's a combination of looks, past history (heritage of the breed) and spec that is known.
Personally I would be very happy with any of them, even the one in last place.
