The XC90 like the Q7 aren’t full sized SUVs. They are between a GLE and GLS in size. There will be plenty of demand for a larger one in the USA, Middle East and China.

Even Porsche are developing a larger SUV.

Volvo is planning a flagship three-row hybrid SUV that will be positioned above the XC90 to meet the growing demand for "F-segment" models in the US and China.

At just over five meters long, the XC90 is already one of the largest hybrid SUVs on sale in Europe, but Volvo CEO Håkan Samuelsson has confirmed that "we are looking at larger SUVs."

yet still...an electric S/V60 successor in the form of a genuine low ride height sedan/estate could fascinate me. The new ES90 is a bit "difficult" to identify as a "sedan". It strikes me as being more of a "sedan meets SUV Crossover". I love the surfacing of the sheetmetal and the more cabin rearwards profile, but it is IMHO simply too tall.

An electric S/V60 could rival the likes of the BMW NA0 i3, M-B C-Class EQ and upcoming Audi A4 etron.

They only have 4 cylinder engines, they stopped making I6's and V8's a while ago.

The door handles will become a very big problem, there’s really no manual release.
