Looks like the artist updated the design language on the existing model. This ain't it. The side profile, air breathers, etc. Are the G11.
All these stupid fake renders are a regression.

And @Mr. Mercedes did the exact opposite. We have cars to everyone's liking, and we'll see who sells more cars in 5 years.
What interests me is how BMW has addressed the drag coefficient of the i7. It would be one hell of a knee-slapper should the i7 present a more slippery cW than the "One Bow" EQS. An i7 that clearly upstages the EQS in terms of efficiency will prove to be very embarrassing for the M-B "Glibmeisters".
I think BMW is going to achieve a landslide victory in the targeted class, this time around with the G70.
It will not be easy to beat it's eternal competitor, but....
- it will have up-to-date internal combustion engines and what's more, BMW have said to develop them further in future, which MB has said, they will not;
- it will have an electric counterpart, the i7, that will not rub off in a negative way (designwise) on the normal 7er;
- MB wasn't focused in developing the new S class/W223, because they were dividing there attention between S and EQS. Even worse, most S class buyers have noticed it. BMW don't seem to have this problem;
- the quality of the car as such, especially the interior, has deteriorated going from the W222 to W223. Apparently, as per @EnI , this isn't the case with the transition G11 -> G70;
- it's design seems to have loads character, which one may or may not like, but will not leave you untouched. In that respect, it will have more distinctiveness than the current, somewhat bland looking, S class.
Exactly. I don’t think I’ve ever been this much excited for a car reveal ever before. I assume it’s just the curiosity of how the double headlights will end up looking like lol.Good point, well presented.
Now, the G70. I for one am looking forward to the reveal, and I'm really glad there haven't been any leaks so far.

We already have a pretty clear idea of how the interior will look but the exterior still remains a mystery.
Btw, don’t know if you guys also realized this as well but new prototypes seem to show the new side profile graphics.

Forgive me if it's been asked already, but does this new 7 get these new engines that were recently talked about from the BMW execs?
M
Maybe they will introduce the new engines in a year or soAs much as i would like it to happen, i don't think so because they've said they are developing new I6 and V8 engines and since new 7er is around the corner i don't think it will get them that soon...
As per Ynguldyn: “G70 US launch models: 740i (B58TÜ2, 370hp), 750i xDrive (S68, 535hp), i7 xDrive50 (480hp). 750ix is interesting in that it doesn't have an M in its name but will be offered with the usual list of M Performance parts (steering wheel, body bits, suspension, etc.) as standard.”As much as i would like it to happen, i don't think so because they've said they are developing new I6 and V8 engines and since new 7er is around the corner i don't think it will get them that soon...

So the I6 will be a evolution or technical update of the current B58 TU2 and the 750ix will get the M engine (S68) from the XM albeit detuned.
Anyone knows if the 7er gonna have the 760Li option like before ?
so there will be a V8 with a 760Li option right?There is no V12, if that's what you're hoping for.
If you want something at the "60" level, it currently looks like you be buying the i7 M60. Top combustion engine is the hyridised S68 V8 in the "M750e". The flagship (in terms of power) at this stage looks like being electric.so there will be a V8 with a 760Li option right?
One of the better renders i've seen recently.![]()
If the i7 looks close to this its waaaay more beautiful car than a EQS and it will outsell it immediately,i like the design language and the XM CONCEPT front just fits here perfectly dont know why
