Countach 2022 Countach

The Lamborghini Countach is a rear mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car produced by Lamborghini. Predecessor: Lamborghini Miura. Successor: Lamborghini Diablo, Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4. Production: 1974-1990.
I watched a couple of videos last night and I gotta say I'm warming up to the design. The front is good enough. The rear is too much Sian, but still...

It should be called Countach Hommage or something like that, though.

Flashback to 1985 AMuS Road Test of the brilliant Countach LP 5000 S QV:

The performance figures were sensational at the time:
0-60km/h - 2.8sec
0-80km/h - 3.8sec
0-100km/h - 4.8sec
0-120km/h - 6.3sec
0-140km/h - 8.1sec
0-160km/h - 10.4sec
0-180km/h - 13.0sec
0-200km/h - 17.0sec
400m standing start - 13.0sec
1km standing start - 24.1sec
Top speed - 298km/h measured

Noise level at 200km/h - A deafening 91dB!!!

Well well, that was it, in the official presentation they had shown it to us only in the wrong spec and it generated certain doubts as to whether it honored the original...
In this way, it's f#cking gods level, so much so that after 35 years it can return to the wall of my room, if my wife leaves me, of course

I wonder whether this car might tempt Ferrari to re-imagine the 355. It's one of the most iconic car designs. However like many supercars from its era, the car's reliability it's shit.

Even if you are rich, you don't diarrhea from anxiety that the car will breakdown on the motorway or refuse to start when leaving a restaurant at 2200.

Everything that we take for granted like AC working properly and the engine responding predictably and reliably don't apply to the 355 and Countach. Owning them is like having a 4 month old baby - unpredictable.

Those old car's reliability has nothing to do with today if they re-imagined the car to modern standards like this Countach.

Wow f£cking wow. This absolutely kills the Chiron for desirability. I want one I want one. Shit those red and green cars are beautiful.

Used in anger!

2022 Lamborghini Countach Gets Its First Recall After Glass Engine Cover Flies Off On The Road

"Bad news for nine American owners of the 2022 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4, there’s a recall that may make you think twice about taking your neo-retro supercar out for a spin. If you do, you may lose one or a number of the glass panels that cover the car’s V12 engine.

In documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), it is revealed that the rear glass panels that act as a cover for the engine compartment could come apart from the car and fly off. As the documents write, with trademark understatement, this could create “a road hazard” and could increase the “safety-risk of a crash for following traffic.”

Fortunately, only one instance of this occurring has so far been recorded and no injuries were reported. It took place in Qatar, when the owner of a Countach lost one of his four glass panels in October. That prompted the automaker to launch an investigation into the issue."

Etc. Continues in the link.
