S-Class (W223) 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class W223 Pictures Thread

The Mercedes-Benz W223 is the seventh generation of the S‑Class full-size luxury sedan. Body Styles: W223 (standard), V223 (long), Z223 (limousine, Mercedes-Maybach). Predecessor: S‑Class (W222). Successor: S-Class (W224) [expected]. Production: 2020- Model years: 2021-
This car is just utterly gorgeous. MB does it time and time again with the S-class.

Indeed, the S-Class design team under Gorden Wageners' supervision really smashed it out of the park with the W/V223. It took a bit of a while for the visuals to "sink in", but now...I realize that it's been quite a long time since an S-Class model has excited me as much as this one does. And I sincerely hope that M-B designers have "gotten it right" with the EQS. It's an immensely important car that will usher "the changing of the guard" at M-B. After all, the ICE S-Class' "last hurrah" is resoundingly loud and clear.

From what I have read, this is the last generation S... EQS will take over from here...
I just wonder which name will be kept - if all their cars are electric does it make sense to use an “EQ” badge? Currently for distinguishing yes it does, but I would imagine it would be better if in the next gen - when the w224 and EQS2 would come out it will be one car - a full electric luxury sedan under the long standing “S class” name.

IMO, EQS is just a bridge for when the "S" becomes fully electric. That is a huge move and it may be yet another generation I think. They may have to do both for a while I think, at least one more generation. There is NO WAY they're going to cancel the "S-Class" nameplate.

I suppose that iconic nomenclatures such as "S-Class", "911", "Golf" and "3 series" have become brand names in their own right. "S-Class" and "911" will be the most enduring of the lot, I reckon.

Graphite grey is the badasa of the 223 colors

Yes, that's it exactly, no matter what they end up being, that tag will still be on the rear of whatever it is.

I think this generation of the S class looks the least funny in the swb. The overall design is similar to the CLS, especially the profile, so it kind of looks like a CLS

The greenhouse is more higher then the one of the CLS, so i dont see the comparison with the CLS

Well, it’s not like 1m higher than the cls, that’s why I said it’s kind of like the cls and not exactly like the cls. If someone says it’s similar to a BMW greenhouse, sure there is no comparison, but here? Ok

What an absolute gem of automotive exterior design:

Color this side profile "Immaculate".

The side profile is the S's strongest angle, and those wheels are probably my favorite on this S. The front side profile kinda reminds me of the F10 5er. Kinda.

I can't wait for them to show up at dealers here in the U.S. That side profile is gorgeous. Curious to see how U.S. customers will react to that interior once they see it in person.
