That anthracite coloured car in the backround is simply breathtaking.

Seldom that I've grown to love an automobile as quickly as is the case with the W223. Stellar job by M-B designers.

The graphite one looks like the standard wheelbase. That is the best shot seen so far, looks great.

It IS the short wheelbase and for me it just doesnt look right. The proportions are not right (too long hood and rear in comparison to the greenhouse), an S-Class should always be Long, thats also why it is always designed as long in the first place.
The graphite grey although looks great, but the car should have tinted and atermic glass, this standard greenish glass just dont look fine enough for my opinion.

Different strokes, I imagine.

I've always preferred the SWB S-Class cars. To me, they are far more "The Drivers' Car". And especially in the case of the W223, it is downright athletic.

IMHO the SWB S class has always been the best looking sedan in MB's portfolio. The LWB has never managed to look as elegant as the SWB.

Interesting. For me it looks like it’s squeezed.
Also Bruno Sacco said once, that all S-Class are first designed as a LWB , elegant, with long greenhouse and proportions made for that greenhouse, so also he said that for him no S-Class in SWB looks right. I have the same opinion.
