One of the main stars at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2015, perhaps? Anyway, this is a very bad CGI rendering of what the next E-class supposedly will look like. Notice that this CGI features some styling cues of the F800 concept.

Oh and btw, I have no clue about the next E-class internal code, OK? I'm just guessing.

The next generation E class should arrive around 2015-2016.

For what is arguable the most important model for Mercedes-Benz globally, I don't anticipate them making such a radical departure for the E-class in the next 4-6 years.

It's interesting to note, however, that just about every magazine out there seems to be using styling elements from the F800 on all their renderings. Perhaps they've insider knowledge of where the new design for MB is headed??:t-crazy2:

The thread should be deleted, it is just ridiculous. The timing of this, the render, everthing its a waste of space on the server. Why bother posting this?

I ask the mods to delete this nonsense. There hasn't even been a facelift for the E yet and that is a couple years off.

Waste of server space.

That rendering is from a December 2010 issue of Auto Motor und Sport in which an article on M-Bs' future plans was featured. There is consolation in the observation that this magazines' renderings are often patently inaccurate.

But it has been explicitly stated by M-Bs' design people that the F800 Concept sedan is indeed a precursor for future RWD M-B volume sedans. Hence, the pronounced wedge theme seen on the W212 will disappear. As will the boxy greenhouse. First indications of M-Bs' new sedan design direction will be seen on the W222 S-Class towards the end of 2012.

Looks like its bodydshell has been made from second rate plastic and has sat out in the sun too long.
