F30 rust issues is not part of this thread, there is however a thread dedicated to this issue - so fairly, your post is off topic (1st) and trolling (2nd) @deity;):)

you did score a "Like" from Levi68, which was a given and a bonus at that LMAO.:ROFLMAO:

JLR has Kilcrohane and BMW has Levi68, thank God for BMW having Levi he does not bring factual and/or quoted evidence to his posts. Just sour crap and opinions that mostly does not make sense (trolling) at BMW and BMW enthusiasts:D .

My appologies for the off-topic reply.

Back on topic.

Exposed paint in the cabin, not pretending to be Premium nor making any excuses, I won't buy it for I will have the A3 (or rather F20) but the VW Golf is just true!(y)

That's the F20, which was previously brought up. F20 rust issues is in response to your praise of the quality of the 1er.

The rust issue is solved. The crap quality interior in the A-Class - NOT

Well that's certainly news to me! Where do we find the confirmation?

I have to agree though, the A's interior is disastrous. I sat in a B (we don't get the A here) and it was horrendous. Quality-wise maybe worse than the previous gen in some areas. But I'd still be more comfortable with cheap than rusty..

That's what we hear from "insiders".

Mate you keeping on talking about exposed paint in the cabin of the A-class. Months ago I posted pictures showing exposed paint on the trailing door edge of the F20 as well as exposed paint visible in the cabin of our now sold X5. You never replied to those posts.

Anyhow, in terms of perceived interior quality and tactility having spent some time poking and prodding I have no qualms in agreeing the A3 has set a new standard for the class. But when you dig deeper, there is evidence of the same scratchy plastics and cost cutting experienced in the A-class and 1-series. Audi has just done a much better job of hiding it.

Interiors:
1. A3
2.
3. BMW/Mercedes

The problem with the BMW interior is not quality. It's the fact that it looks so bland and ho hum for what is a youthful car. Mercedes has gone to the other extreme in a desperate attempt to make the brand come across as young and the treatment of the transmission tunnel area is where the interior is most let down. In this fight the Audi A3 just shows the other two how successfully cool and sophisticated can be melded together in an interior that feels more premium than it actually is. That said, has anyone else noticed that once upon a time even the standard leather trim in an Audi felt like a quality cut? Now it just feels like rubber.

I am responding, now:) With the exception of the 5GT, 6er & 7er (not sure about F10 as a write this response) all BMW's has that exposed paint you are talking about. I myself do not like it BUT never see it except on photos of the cabin and with my Black on Black X1 I never see it. The opposite is true though that every time you turn to grab your Seat/Safety Belt in the A-class you will have to face that exterior color, uncovered, bare of trim B-pillar. I did post a photo in this thread, Golf has it also, but it does not pretend it's Premium. Hope that solves it.

I just want to say that maybe not enough Animal hide makes it to the Auto Industry. In the days of the E46, E53's etc. we in South-Africa had 'SA-Trim' leather (all RH drive markets around the world got E46's with that trim from us). It was just the most Genuine, thick and felt good leather. Why BMW SA stop with that I don't know. My point is that regarding leather in all the Premium OE's entry level offerings (the non-Nappa) all of them the Leather's a bit nasty these days IMO.
BMW SA-Trim was a collaboration between BMW SA and the local leather industry (Feedlots and tanners) locally.

Also do I admit cost cutting across the board. And also did I agree with @martinbo fair/honest assesment in his post on the F20's cabin quality.

Guys, the problem in the A-Class is not it's exposed paint.
You can see that in many premium cars... I think even in a 6-Series.
It's not good but it's there. My main problem with it is that it's purely assembled and most of the materials feel really, really cheap. Almost everything you touch feels loose and makes noises. You don't experience that in almost any Korean car... maybe to a lesser degree. That's a shame as MB should not be compared to non-premium Korean brands, tho in this case it cannot even compete with them IMO.

But the truth is, real customers don't give a damn about your loathing against the baby Benz. They managed to sell over, 1,50,000 A class so far and it is only going to rise. Keep on trolling.

Who are you talking to ?
I don't see anyone trolling in this thread.
Are you a real customer or you simply love spamming ?
If you think that a car is flawless just because it's selling best then it should mean that BMW cars are flawless in every single aspect... they are not!

Think before posting, please!

You are welcome again :)

How exactly is he trolling?

The A-class interior is clearly not built like an S, E or let alone a C. But this talk about it having the most horrid interior around is just plain nonsense. It's at least on par with the dull looking F20, but the A3 shows them both how it really should be done.

Human, I suspect you're choosing not to see the exposed paint in the BMW's. I see it in every single one I sit in. And yes on a AUD$100,000 X5 and $70,000 3 coupe its a poor effort. On a $40,000 A-class I can tolerate it.

Quite contrary to the manufacturers claimed figures.
