B-Class (W246) 2012 Mercedes-Benz B-Class (Spy pics & info)

The W246 is the second generation Mercedes-Benz B-Class. It is the successor to the B-Class W245 and predecessor to the B-Class W247. Production: November 2011 – December 2018. Model years: 2012–2018.
I think this B is going to be a big success. All early reports have been astounded by the interior quality and it seems to drive with the refinement and comfort expected of a Mercedes. Retirees, line up here for your new Mercedes B-Class!

Hope it's not posted already. :)

Looks pretty damn real!

Good enough as a replacement to the current B. I'm not really concerned as the last one sold in the bucket loads to its target demographic and this one will too.

I'm way more excited about the A.

Yep, it's real, and from AutoBild.

Via Google Translate:
The end of 2011 the new Mercedes B-Class to the dealer. AUTO BILD is the first time caught a undisguised prototypes. New: sliding rear seats, lane assistant, and fatigue, internet access. So more to come in this week's AutoBild?

At a guess I would say it was being filmed and photographed. OICA has it down for July release so it would be in the timeframe to do so.

Anyway this looks far more original and more adventurous than either both the SLK and ML-Klasse's.

I love how "Original" and "Adventurous" have become terms to describe hideous cars. That looks absolutely grotesque to me, not only in shape (which I understand is helpless, as it is what it is for that segment), but those details are terrible, and will look harsh in the coming years, as the car ages. The ML and SLK are far more refined, and mature designs.

I think it looks cool and will do well for its market its inteneded i believe the interior is good..

Mercedes is so hell bent on putting those lines on everything. Just like the CLS, one of them isn't needed, looks so random.

That, and I also don't like the way the rear lights are going. On this one they are okay but I absolutely hate them on the CLS which are probably going to be the same ones that are coming on the next S-class.
The rear on this new B looks better than the old one which isn't surprising and the front is going to be probably the same as on the ML. More interested in the next A-class though.

Nice looking Mini-Mini Van!

I have to agree with Merc on that line. It looks completely out of place on that car.

Someone high up is demanding these whacky nonsensical new lines. Is it Dr. Z? Wagener? Did Pfeiffer start the flood (doubtful, as I find his Designs to be perfectly balanced for the most part)? WHO are you! Show yourself!
