Looks like we'll get 3 As :)

A-Class W176 4DR hatch (like patent drawings) --> http://www.autoblog.com/2011/05/11/2012-mercedes-benz-a-class-hatches-a-bit-early/
A-Class C176 2DR coupe (similar to Concept A above)
A-Class R176 2DR cabriolet with fabric roof which is lighter than hardtop (based on C176 coupe)

Merc- 1 and K-A .... arent you tired of flat generic side panels. Lets Mercedes get a little character to the new small offerings. In person they will look great!

I hate fat panels, but M-B never designed fat panels, even their slab sided offerings were lean.

I love character lines, but "different" isn't always good, especially a brand like M-B, they need to go after pleasant styling over shock-value (which gets tiring and dated fast).

I love the lines on the W212, W204, most of them on the W221, the SLS, the new ML's are okay for that type of car, the new SL seems to have a nice and timeless side crease, etc.

I'll never get tired of good car design! I will however get tired of fussy fashionable "try hard" trends. The cheap brands always do goofy things to try and attract "funky kidzz", M-B are always supposed to stand above that. I guess things change as they start modifying their lineup to be mostly non-Luxury items, but I'd rather they had their chin up more than to put lines like that on the sides of even their entry level cars.

Same ******* crap huge head lights as the SL and ML..with the LED strip on the inner side of the light..

Ahh the frustration!!!

Mercedes you have no right to **** up this car. It is the key to get back your throne Audi and BMW took away during tha last years. Now that the 1 Series F20 is the most ulgy car BMW ever built, and the upcoming A3 the most boring car Audi ever built, it is now your chance to sell a sexy looking A Class to the young ones. This will give the brand a younger and more sporty image and all will again dream of Mercedes. Quality and Tech you already have it, only good design (elegant, sporty and modern) and its a win.

I think the S class will have those headlights too. Incredible, but thats my feeling ! An S class sharing his headlights with the A class. But this headlights are not ugly, they look wonderful. Much better and "normal" than the new Sl.

The previous generations S Class and C Class were quite similar in proportions and design. Some could criticize this as "same sausage different length". But I on the contrary I liked it. It felt like the poor mans S Class, what shows how good the S Class is. It is like the Toyota GT86 being the poor mans LFA. So I don't think it will be an issue if Mercedes entry level car, the A Class has some similarities with Mercedes falgship model, the S Class.

Way to go MB! I love it! I can't believe I actually may like MBZ's entire line-up if they keep going down this path!

This car (3dr) or the Golf VII are going to be my first car.Given how fugly the new 1er is and how boring the new A3 seems to look.

It's gonna sell like hot cakes! I like it a-lot! :usa7uh:

Everything about the car looks :icondrool , just hope the front-end does not spoil the perfect picture.

This is what the A-class should have been about from the start;)

Bet you are all excited to see and hear "Pulse" the thumping dance track by Justin Beiber and the theme to the A-Klasse's "pulse of a new generation" marketing campaign.
