Well…looks horrible. Will be interesting how it looks like, when it comes in 2010 or 2011…

Autobild gives also these information:

4,6-Liter-V8 - G 500 Biturbo with 435 hp

G 63 AMG with 544 hp

G 320 CDI with 252 hp

and maybe a 4-Cylinder with 2,2 litre and around 204 hp

The front has to be rounded because of the pedestrian safety.

Oh wow..It will be interesing if these are the new engines. G500 has just enough power.

As long as the truck keeps it's same capabilities and overall structure, I doubt it will be an issue.

There is no need to change this. They can't change the hard points anyway, they'll only keep playing with the lights and what not, no need. Keep the classic look, but make the tech just as any other new Mercedes. Thats the key to keeping the G relevant.

Probably they have to change the design a bit - pedestrian safety rules etc… :eusa_doh:

That could be, but I think the front end is blunt enough as is. If one of these hits you I think its going to be lights out anyway. You certainly won't be flying up over it, and to go under is certain death.

Hell NO!! I think changing the shape of the boxy angles to rounded ones will be a suicide. Please keep it as it is and play around with the lights only.
And when it comes to pedestrian safety, this car has been around for what, 30 years? why is it only an issue now. And if it is an issue then I say screw pedestrians who dare to cross in front of a G or get hit by it.:D

please don't do this to this car
either kill it or leave it
its a car of the past, forcing it into the future with such harsh design changes is mindless and would definitely hurt its image
