+1It was great posting the pics Scott, but they were better suited for this thread since these pics aren't really presenting the F10 in all it's glory. And thus you get these negative comments from people who have been waiting for years and see three low res pics in pretty much the same angle and even from a tiny part of the car, not the whole thing including back..
If the press pics you made are going to be released tomorrow as well, the tune will change and a lot of users will like it better![]()
Anyone in Oz know what time the reveal is on our clock? I'm toooooo lazy to calculate. lol
The hour of the launch in Europe(Germany) is 8:00 PM (Central European Time(CET) = Universal Coordinated Time(UTC) + 1 hour) on the 23rd November.
Australia is UTC + 10 hours, which means the hour of the launch will be 5:00 AM on 24th November.
Relax...the F10 is a masterpiece in design, more that I expected AND I expected the best!Surprised by the negative comments but of course the usual suspects.
Sorry , I thought I was doing a favour by posting the official pics that were taken last night. So they were teasers but it was the actual car and not a photoshop impression to which none of the artists came close to a identical representation both at the front and rear, to which end I am happy because it will be a surprise and also a bonus for BMW that the car has lasted this long right to the official BMW press release.
Regarding the design language? We have covered this many times before the new language is a refinement of the current style as discussed in detail by Eni and myself. It is not a return to old style BMW in one sausage different lengths. although the overall shape remains consistent there are greater differences in details and sculpture from each model.
At least BMW seek to do different representations of the characteristic "L" shape design so that each model is unique , the same with the 5er and the 7er in both their design details especially the front are two different cars.
With the 5er GT I have always expressed the point that although it is a car from the same family and inherits the bloodline of the 5er but is a totally different car. That is why I was completely critical with the representations of the 5er released after the first shots of the 5er GT concept because the representations were being based upon this and they were wrong because the 5er GT is not a 5er sedan. And you can see the changes. Anyone can see the difference.
In a few weeks I will be going over The design language for BMW and giving you a picture of the progressive factor of typical BMW design cues.
This is important because other manufacturers are using them , therefore taking BMW's identity although failing in the driving dynamics.
Regarding the Bangle-less comments from "real" BMW - quote "enthusiasts" quote , Chris Bangle was involved in overseeing this car infact you will not see a Bangle-less BMW for a few years.
its Monday 1PM CAT and still nothing. How much longer?
The press conference is 2000 CET. So just under 8 hours.

I hope the official car pics are not in silver color.
Quite surprised press pictures are still unleaked as of now.
