Bentley has updated its flagship Arnage range with the introduction of major powertrain and chassis enhancements for the 2007 model year. The Arnage's 6.75-litre V8 engine now develops up to 500 hp and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain changes are complemented by subtle exterior, interior and under-bonnet design cues. In the performance-oriented Arnage T model, the revised twin-turbocharged V8 engine produces a staggering 500 hp and 738 pound-feet of torque –- an 11 percent increase in power and a 14 percent increase in torque over the outgoing model. In the Arnage R and RL models the new engine is boosted from 400 to 450 hp, while torque climbs from to 645 pound-feet.

Np, Rob! I'd say that everything about that car looks great... It's a pure and most original Bentley, a definition of masterpiece...

Cool! I saw it yesterday!:usa7uh:

BTW, Luw didn't see this thread yet, he'll enjoy!

I dunno guys why u r adoring this car but IMO it has a very weird proportions ...

I know it is a classicly designed car but some design elements are killing me. I mean look at the rear overhang, it is MASSIVE in a bad way. the C-pillar is enermously thick and usually the glass-house ends at the center of the rear wheels in most of bueatifully designed cars, but in this one it has a very weird glass-house. Still a classic car but should be revolutionized ASAP. The RR phantom is a ideal example here.

Wow I had never noticed it but it does have a huge rear overhang which really isn't a problem for me becasue the car looks so slender and graceful. The C-pillar i huge so that the rear passangers could smoke weed in the backseat without being seen by anyone outside the car.
Either how the 2007 model is probably the last one before the new model hits the dealers. I think the new hood ornamate it cool but is a bit so RR like. A simple B would be enough.

It's not new, actually it's quite old.

OH GOD YES SO DO I! THE ARNAGE IS THE ONLY BENTLEY FOR ME!

Now that I'm done ranting, I had no idea this lovely antique still had a 4-speed automatic transmission. My goodness there is a car is about to hit the market with an 8-speed and the Bentley just getting rid of it's 4-speed! VW should have done this update years ago!

Well I didn't know the car had a 4-speed tranny all this time, I thought it had at least a 5-speed. Now it gets a 6-speed for 2007.

WHAT???????

Marcus, where did you read that? I'm sorry, but i can't believe that such high-class car has/had a 4spd auto tranny that i only see in cars like this one:

In reading the entire article they've really made a lot of little changes for 2007 in addition to the powertrain. All of this should keep the old girl fresh for a few more years!

Believe it:

For this reason Bentley’s engineering team opted to introduce the latest six-speed ZF automatic transmission to the Arnage range. This state-of-the-art system offers two further ratios than the previous gearbox and has several key advantages over its predecessor:

That is from the WorldCarFans article.

This from thecarconnection.com:

That means the Arnage T, the most powerful model, now delivers an even 500 hp and a stump-pulling 738 pound-feet of torque. The twin-turbo, 6.75-liter V-8 now mates to a modern six-speed ZF automatic, rather than the old and antiquated four-speed on last year's Arnage.

Believe me I was shocked too!

See the second quote I added to the post. I didn't say it was crappy, just old and ancient.
