1M 1M Orange vs White vs Black

The BMW 1 Series M Coupé (often referred to as the "1M") is the high-performance model of the E82 coupe range, sold under the BMW M performance sub-brand. While BMW naming convention would have called the car the "M1", an alternate name was chosen to avoid confusion with the BMW M1 supercar from the 1970's. Official website: BMW M

Black, though my preferred colour for this car is Monaco blue or that gorgeous grey shade on the M3 CSL.

Yes, I think they missed an opportunity by leaving out a darker shade of silver like Space Grey.

Black or White, but never Orange. Would love a Blue by the way.

I would choose the white one, but it's a bit sad, that BMW is only offering three colours for this fantastic cars. Would have loved a blue and grey one as well.

Silver Grey would have been fantastic:

Sorry but for Valencia Orange is the worst looking color ever. Power Green would have been alot better. The best would be Atlantis Blue.

^There a nice "orange" McLaren on you avatar,mate..You know that,right?? :D

Yes I do. Lamborghini Gallardo orange, Porsche 911 GT3/RS orange, BMW M3 GTS orange do look good but Valencia Orange not, it is metallic. Also the Macca orange is very beautiful, but I'd any never take any car in ORANGE.

Fair enough..:usa7uh:
I,on the other hand, would pick Valencia Orange for 1M because IMO it suits cars character perfectly..White,Black or even "mighty" Blue don´t work for me just for one reason..They are not special enough for 1M,if you know what I mean :)..

Orange would be my pick. I'd say the few times it may look drab would be more than offset by lighting conditions that bring out its brilliance. Anyone know if this is the same color as on the M1 concept?

I picked Valencia Orange because I think it is the color the makes the car look the least ugly. I think the white and black bring out aspects of the car that make it look bad.

I still have an issue with the 1er and cannot wait for BMW to facelift it or completely overhaul the design. It looks like a bloated toy car and even with the M package, it just doesn't do it for me.

Alpine Weiss closely followed by Black. I've almost got tired of seeing the 1M in orange...

I'd choose Blue if I could. It looks LOUD in Orange, and a sleeper in the White. The Black makes this car look ok, but nothing special.

Black makes it look classier, less boy-racer. Like an athelet with a nice suit on, wide shoulders but not big naked biceps.

Orange make it look powerful but a tad in-your-face. It's in attack-mode.

White, well... in-between, I don't really like it. Lets the (arguably tacky) detailings stand out, hides the flared fenders, doesn't really suits it.

Black, the Orange for me. Not white.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
