M3/M4 19 year old boy crashes his M3 V8

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M

I dont understand how a parent can give a M3 to a 19 year oldie. Too much power and dangerous for those who arent used to powerful cars. Drive with respect.

you've got to be kidding me...how do parents trust there kid with a 90k car thats beyond me

im going to laugh so hard if he almost crashed into his own house :D

silly indeed, kid should start of in a hot hatch if he really needs a quick car before getting a beast like the M3. Then again 2 of my friends had E46 M3 at 20 and they never crashed or had prior experience with a fast car but then they had to work their balls off to get such vehicles and insure it at their age with alot of their income going on the car so they respected their property big time, unlike some avergae 19 year old who gets given a a M3 by his rich daddy.

Beeing 17/19 years old,
He turned the M mode ON ??
and floored it??!

That's like beeing a virgin and first time you have sex you have
Jessica Simpson standing nude infront of you..
You will not have a clue what to do, and before you know it,
(When she gentley puts her hands on your stick)
It's all going to hell..

Good thing - No one was hurt, BMW AG safety :usa7uh:

good to know that no one has been injured
but his parents should consider buying him a vw polo with 50ps

without any experience a m3 is like a licence to kill

I have no time for these idiots. They deserve everything they get for putting other peoples lives at risk...

Big thing from this story for me is the the realisation of how safe the M3 is for a coupe...

Early this year, an 18-year old killed his friends while doing 160 Mph in unlit runway in a brand new BMW M5. Very possibly a 2008 Darwin Award winner this one.

Soon after, two young men, aged between 18 to 20 years old, killed themselves while doing 140 Mph (???) when their BMW 335i Coupé crashed against a tree.

Now we've got this 19-year old punk who destroyed a M3 V8.

I think you can gather a conclusion based on these three accidents:

BMWs and teenagers - quite a deadly combination.

As a company we are not impressed with these inexperienced individuals who regulary flout speed limits and to show off what the car can do with no regard for public safety.

technically there is blame to be given to all-sides but you have no idea how many people who have passed their exam for driving I have met at Motor shows and BMW events who are young and tell me that they are buying this car or that their parents are buying this car for them. My replies are not entirely diplomatic which is why I work my creativity in the background rather than in the foreground.
But in the end it is still their choice, and then their sole responsibility which as you can see from above their responsibility.

I do get comments of everything including the allure of driving at speed on the autobahn and of course the nostalgia of the ring.
These are not for the inexperienced driver and I have seen many altercations especially with a minor majority of US delivered "delivery" plated BMW's completely showing off to passengers with scant regard to other users on the autobahn.
The Ring is another attraction that allures the inexperienced driver , and for a while there due to complaints by regular users that they banned european delivery cars from the ring but this appears to have been reinstated . It is not a good idea to have a professionally driven prototype BMW fly round the ring just to come up to a bend and be blocked by an inexperienced driver who's only attribute is to give a thumbs up to the prototype driver .

This is not only BMW , but Mercedes , Porsche , Audi etc all discuss the same question.

It's a shame that such people even get to drive an M3, they lack all respect...first for the people they have next to them and second to the power the car deliveres. If you have driven 10 thousands of km with a car and have the opportunity to go for the limits in a safe way then you can enjoy it correctly, and switching on M mode is ment for a race track only, not for public roads. I have baout 11 years of driving experience but I would never try to test the limits of such a car on a public road :t-crazy2:
Dumb ass idiots :t-banghea lucky no one got seriously hurt here.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
