Silly, daft, overdone looking car.
Sorry to come round and say that all over again. But actually, isn't that why it's called the Re-vent on?![]()
The main thing I love about that car is the dash, other than that, it ain't worth more than $20,000 over the regular one. The SV is far more special than the Reventon.
Exactly! I like the Revention, but the price tag is ridiculous for what it is.
Same goes for the Aston Martin.
At least the Aston isn't based on anything. It has it's own chassis, interior, well, pretty much everything. The reventon is basically a special edition Murci, not a brand new car.
- Aston Martin One-77 supercar headed to Nurburgring for final testing - MotorAuthority - Car news, reviews, spy shotsAston Martin's amazing One-77 appeared out of nowhere and stunned the motoring world with its bold design and exorbitant price tag, which is expected to run in the vicinity of $2 million.
They are still asking to much for a car that doesn't even have the capabilities of the Bugatti Veyron, which is less.
Well, I guess there isn't a shortage of folks who'll pay such a price. If there were folks who forked out a million for a special edition Murci, why not a brand new Aston?![]()

Let's not forget the critical number of 77 units.
The Lambo is a disgrace and I've stood by that opinion since I first read the price. It is a supreme exercise in brand whoring much
Lol...That is so true. I really hope Lambo builds a "proper" 1 million dollar car in the future.
Yes, I guess if you don't mind paying for exclusivity then it probably is a good choice.
It already exist and is called Veyron
Unit production is one of the key factors dictating the price of a car. The Alfa 8C is an excellent examples. From a technical point of view, it's no better than an AMV8 but command a staggering 250k price tag for the sole reason that production is limited to a mere 500 cars.

I completely forgot both of them were under VW. No wonder Lambo just dolled up the Murc. The Veyron actually limits Lambo's potential to go into a higher market.

Welcome to the death of car manufacturers as we know them. VAG have taken component sharing and blended their brands to the point were, like someone else commented a few weeks ago, car manufacturers are pure marketing packages. A new car is most likeley conceived in the way that a concept of the cars attributes are drawn up and when the executives simply decide what clothing it should wear i.e SEAT, Audi, Lamborghini or Bugatti. The independence of each car manufacturer has been eroded and in the process the brands lose some of their identity and are reduced to mere products conceived in a very corporate culture.
