$1,000,000 for the Car(s) of your Choice!

My list would be as follows
BMW M5 $150,000 approx,
Bentley Continental GTC $235,000 approx,
Lamborghini Mucielago LP640 $375,000 approx,
Porsche Cayenne 4.8l Turbo $150,000 approx,
Roush Ford F150 Stage 3 $55,000 approx
Cost Approx $965,000 which leaves some for extras.

A thought-provoking thread and I could have came up with several lists, the other one I had consisted of a Koenigsegg CCX and the Bentley GTC but that was quite limiting in that neither would be suitable for transporting my bike, or as someone else mentioned, taking the dog for a walk whereas these cover all the categories.
:t-cheers:

Z8- with Alpina WHeels and trim(ie seats)...and and m5...thats all i need in life...maybe an tuned m-coupe aswell

My list

997 GT3 - Dream car

Bentley Azure: Ultimate boulevard cruiser

Range Rover Vouge (non sport): Perfect daily driver

CL63 AMG: When I wanna drive CEO style

VW GTI: Ideal car for quickly grabbing a rental video or some Fanta at the local store. Easy to park too.

Believe it or not but these are the car I'd buy. The fewer car you have the better. It is pointless to own a lot of cars if you're not gonna have the time to drive them all. I want lots of millage on mine. :D

Thought I might restart posting on GCF after several months away. What better way to start it than to contribute to this wonderful thread?

So, USD$1,000,000 is approximately AUD$1,225,000 so I'll use Australian New Car Prices to determine my cars of choice.

1. Porsche Cayman S - AUD$150,000

Definately my first choice. The Porsche Cayman S embodies my image of the "perfect" car. Mid-engined flat-6, lightweight, RWD and the classic Porsche steering. It's just incredible - plus, it doesn't hurt that it also looks beautiful.

2. Renault Megane 230 F1 Team R26 - AUD$50,000

The best hot hatch currently on the market. While not the best overall hot hatch (that belongs to the Golf GTI), it's arguably the best driving hot hatch out of them all. It's been internationally praised by all motoring press, with the R26 placing 7th in EVO's 2006 eCOTY, beating exotics such as the DB9 and the CLS63 AMG. One of the best ever. An essential.

3. Audi S8 - AUD$260,000

The definitive autobahn stormer. It's elegant, agressive, sexy and oh-so fast. It'll smoke all the cars around you effortlessly and in supreme comfort. My favourite sedan currently on the market. I love it.

4. Audi A6 3.2 FSI Quattro Avant - AUD$120,000

From a realistic point of view, the A6 Avant is probably the best all-round car on the market. It's attractive, spacious, safe, reliable, economical and decent to drive. If I had a family, this car would undoubtable be in my garage.

5. Citroen C6 2.7 HDi V6 - AUD$105,000

An entirely selfish choice, on my part. It's expensive, unreliable and not that good to drive. But look at it! An absolute beauty both inside and out. Classic Citroen through and through - an encouraging return to Citroen's quirky but exciting roots. Illogical, yet completely brilliant.

7. BMW Z4 M Coupe - AUD$140,000

A perfect partner to the Cayman S. They're both rivals to each other, but I love them both. The Z4 is the wild-child of the two. Aggressive, scary styling backed up by the amazing S54 of the E46 M3, all mated to a six-speed manual transmission and a livewire RWD chassis.

8. Jaguar XJR - AUD$220,000

7b273c63a4cae4de3f9270ff6987c7c9.webp

A few months ago, I began to fall in love with Jaguar. My favourite of the range became the XJ, notably the XJR. While not the best in class (the Audi S8 has it licked), the XJR oozes character, charm and class unknown to any of it's German rivals, perhaps only rivaled by the Maserati Quattroporte. A fantastic car, a great Q-Ship.

9. Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe - AUD$48,000

The MX-5 is a classic in the car world, and deservedly so. It's so pure and authentic in how it drives, it was a revelation when it was released and it still remains so. It delivers all these while still remaining relatively affordable. No wonder it became the world's most popular sportscar. And the new hardtop version makes it that much more appealing, giving the MX-5 all-year round ability while still retaining the very essence of what makes it an MX-5.

This brings a combined total of AUD$1,093,000: well under the budget, with plenty of money for insurance and fuel. Worked out quite nicely actually.

Because the last time I didn't notice the "rules" of this "game", I am going to compose my dream garage for 1.000.000 € again! :D

Great job guys, but.....

REMINDER:
I stand by my choices.

I REFUSE to spend a million dollars on cars, for one I don't need that many. Two, Cars have a horrible value for their money, in five years they wont even be worth half of what you spent on them with depreciation and inflation.

I would also never spend 1.000.000 € for cars I would never drive... :D

E 420 CDI
CL 600
Z4M Roadster or Z4 3.0si

I'm sorry if I confused anyone.

My goal was to have everyone pick only one type of vehicle.

Another words no 2 sedans or 2 coupes. Just one of a certain type of vehicle. You don't have to have every type I mentioned. Just no more then one of each vehicle.

So my first garage was ok? Great :D

So I guess that means I will have to put about $250,000 worth into the restoration of the 450SEL. :D

Great job guys, but.....

REMINDER:

Yeah, I was noticing people were either ignoring it or not reading it to begin with. It doesn't matter that cars don't hold their value... it's not real money. I didn't want the XC70 as much as some of the other cars, but the rules were $900,000 to $1,000,000. I think having those rules makes it more fun and challenging to pick out what you want.

Just imagine that you COULDN'T get the money unless you stuck to the rules. Then you'll find other things to buy.

Ok, let me think 1,000,000.....

1 sedan .. Bently Arnage RL (270K)

1 coupe...Aston Martin Vanquish S coupe (255K)

1 convertible Porsche 911 4S Cabrio ( 100K)

1 suv.... Mercedes G-Class G500 ( 100k)

1 crossover....no thanks.. instead I'd buy 135K worth of minivans and...

1 truck = HUMMER ALPHA (140K) with a tag that reads "PMS 24-7" to drive over the minivans !:spinstar: :spinstar: :spinstar:
