5 Series (G30) BMW 5 Series (G30/31/32) Spy Pics & Info Discussion

The BMW G30 is the seventh generation of the 5 Series. Officially announced in October 2016, sales began in February 2017. Production years: November 2016-2023. Body styles: 4-door sedan/saloon (G30), 5-door wagon/estate (G31), and 4-door long-wheelbase saloon (G38).
I seem to remember that Cardiff has the highest cameraphone to person ratio of any city in the World. There's an average of 4.8 cameraphones per capita.*

*I may be making that statistic up.

Same as the standard G11 7 Series instrument display.

The interior is camouflaged but the bits which are visible are very much what will appear on the production cars. The instrument dials, for example, are the standard dials which are on the 7 Series. i.e. without the full multifunction display.

This dashboard its for the new 5er GT or the 7 series?

I remember CAR magazine being invited to drive a disguised prototype of the current 7 series last year. Just 2-3 weeks later, it was official revealed.

Even though it's just an early prototype, there seem to be some very good signs from this drive. Like the steering responses to an all-wheel drive set-up. As I thought, specifying of options will be key to how the car reacts to certain roads in different parts of the world. And no Carbon Core...hmmm.

And they reckon an October release date..

This looks to be very, very promising. Though I am disappointed they eschewed Carbon Core after they hyped it up so much. I was hoping this'd be a sign of more CF being implemented in all their future cars.
Oh so they aren't going to use carbon core on the new 5 series? Scott promised as much.
