M3/M4 Your predictions on the upcoming M3 V8 CSL

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M
I don't think they'll drop it. Rather, I think they will just postpone development. Which is not the same thing. They will probably wait a year to see the new emerging economic factors and then decide. You have to remember that this latest crisis came at the time where there will be a new GOP at least in the US, and since majority of the issues happened here, it would be wise to see what the new gov has on the agenda.

I think BMW has take a clear step in terms of sporty vehicles. Meanning they will keep the ones that give them sales, no more. The M3, M5, M6... The three are succesfull cars, and X5 and X6 M are the only ones that can give BMW benefit, nor M3 CSL, nor M6 CSL, nor CS...

I really donñt like the way BMW is doing with the M models lastly, I even prefer the look of their cars without the M pack in most of the cases (except the 1er).

Well the problem is that unlike previously, they need to make the M3 so it can be brought over to the states. The US is (or was) a huge market for the M3, and there are more than enough people who modify the crap out of their M3. It wouldn't be hard to assume that many of those might also be interested in the CSL. There is nothing stopping them from making money on it.

I have always thought the CSL is is not exactly "mass production" but has a limited number that they sell? or am i wrong?

Could it be that they can't find enough weight savings to justify? The problem is they might make a CSL and end up slower than a standard M3 tuned/modified...

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
