I always hear people talking in terms of brands and certain cars they like and don't like. I'm sure every member of this forum has a car that is their absolute favorite.

Please post a photo of your favorite car (ever)! Also please include a short paragraph on why that is your favorite car.

NO RUNNER UPs please! Only one favorite!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

My favorite:

Meaning: A celestial being of the highest authority

The Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph to me is my all time favorite vehicle. The design was so supreme and elegant. I remember when I first saw one on the Road it was so beautiful and had such grace. My friend purchased one in 2001 and to this day it still takes my breath away. I love Mercedes-Benz, but I would pick this over anything they ever offered. Even though the Phantom is ok, it still will never be as elegant as this car IMO.

Pagani Zonda:

To keep it short, the Pagani Zonda is my favourite car of all time because it emcompasses everything I want in a vehicle. Style, quality, uniqueness, power, speed, lightweight construction and lastly, it's created by company which believes in true craftsmanship and integrity.

Since 2003, no car has managed to capture my imagination like the Zonda has and I have a strong feeling nothing ever will.

Bentley Continental T/R

I can't explain exactly why, but it's a big, powerful coupe with a big presence. As much as I love German build quality, there's something about a British interior, laden with light colored leather and wood and aluminum and lots of round gauges. It's a big coupe, but at the same time, in a muted color, it's not gonna draw extra attention to itself. It'll just waft along, eating up the miles like crazy. Lastly, because it's a Bentley, it's got racing heritage, and is certainly more of a drivers car than a Roller or a Maybach. It's something I would love to drive, and never stop loving to drive. I don't need a super-hardcore sports car, I need a nice tourer. Plus, the way this car looks, 50 years from now, it'll still look as good as it does now. Inside and out, it's timeless.

Zonda F roadster..
beacuse this is more than just a car.. this is more.. this is something that cant be named.. its just ......

What happened to the paragraphs? I found the explainations as to WHY it is your favorite car much more interesting than the car itself, frankly.

Look at this sexy bitch. I can't find anything wrong with the W196, it is the most perfect car ever:D I also have a thing for the W198. Favorite racing and favorite production car.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

I spent more than an hour having a debate in my head today because of this thread. I could not choose between the LP640 and the Diablo 6.0VT. I fell in love with the Diablo when I was 4 years old and it was the first supercar I fell in love with. but the Murcielago LP640 is not only faster, sounds better but is a better car overall.

lets start from the back. the exhaust tip is easily big enough to fit both of my fists. the tail lights are works of art. they make the Diablo's look old. the rear tires are more than 30 cm wide . then there are the rear airvents. they OPEN! I dont know of any other car that has opening rear air vents. that is uber cool. then there is the doors. signature doors that no other car maker asides from Lamborghini is known for. the 05 rims (ones the lower picture) are works of art and along with the SLR rims are the nicest wheels ever created imo. the side air intakes are MASSIVE. the car itself is more than 2 meters wide and with the side mirrors, its about 2.2 meters wide  then there are the side mirrors themselves. they flow from the car body so nicely and they too are massive. then we have the front brakes which have as many pistons as a Z06 engine and are the size of our Accord's rims and are as thick as my pinky finger is long. then we have the headlights. just the shape is ASTONISHING to behold. no other supercars' headlights are shaped the way the Murcielago's are. the SLR's headlights have the shape of any mercedes (although are much sexier). the enzo doesnt compare. the CGT's headlights look like a Boxster headlights. the Zonda's are not big and muscular like the Murcielago's. the only car's headlights that come close are the Gallardo and R8 but even them the Murcielago's are more angular and "in your face". then we have the air intakes at the front which too are MASSIVE.

other things to consider:

0-60: less than 3.5
0-100 in the 7s
1/4 mile: low 11s
top speed 340 km/h

I dont remember which magazine said it but the Murcielago is the last he-man's supercar. no "finger tip controls" here. you really gotta take the ragin bull by the horns and use some muscle!

Actually quite easy for me also, the Mercedes-Benz SL (specifically the SL55 AMG) is the car I want the most and the one I covet the most. The SL in general every since the R129 model from 1990 right up until today's R230 model, has been my most desired car. Sure there were brief periods in which the CLS and CL took the crown, but overall since 1990 the SL has been the cat's meow for me. I mean really, does it have to be explained when you look at this?

Still, arguably Mercedes' best car and no doubt a modern day classic.

Didn't see any Bimmers in the list. Thought I'll give my 2 cents worth on my favourite car of all time..the BMW 328 is one of the all-time classics

its a pity that these are such a rareity nowadays.

Favourite car of all time? That's a hard one.

Some say... the detailing isn't right. Some say... it rides far too high.

All I know is it's the most beautiful car in the world!

Saw a perfectly-maintained blue example yesterday and I almost passed out at the wheel. I'd love one to tinker with and to use. Lovely, lovely, lovely, lovely car....
