A4/S4/RS4 Your choice? Audi RS4 B7 VS Audi S8 V10

^Klier that's no what the poll is suggesting at the moment. Maybe you and some others need to go drive the S8 and maybe then you will start to appreciate and understand why we so called "Audi fans" rate it so highly.

If the poll was 760i vs M3 I doubt the 7 would get any votes, less because it's up against the M3 it's more that the 7 isn't that great by compared, now like this Audi poll if it were Mercs and the poll S63 vs C63 I think the outcome would be so similar simply because like the S8 the S63 is that great at what it does.

Nothing personal Klier but I don't think you will never get it anytime soon the whole benefit of refinement, comfort and opulence that big executive cars bring to the table and when they can perform as well as the big S8 can and with an engine note to die for well then it makes a very compelling argument against one of the finest performance saloons in recent years.

Well, we'll see. The S8s are little easier to get here, then the RS4s.
Right now there is one amazing S8 late 2007 for sale. 70 000 km, full option and all this and that you can imagine. The prices here are sick. Its just got out there yesterday for 30 000 euro. That is really nothing. I would buy it directly, but I have to wait a year, so I dont put myself in dept. Although its killing me to see how amazing that car is.
RS4s are hard to find here. Really hard.

No, I will only choose between these two. The S5 was also in play a while, but decided that these two are the ones I want. And of course, the S4 B8 is an amazing car as well.

It's still a year though before I will make up my mind.
But I just wanted to see what the opinions about these two are, from you guys.

I would get the S8. It's very simple for me:

which would you rather have?
4.2 V8 or 5.2 V10?
A4 or A8?

Mostly the facelift is what I mean. It looks better finished in the end than the pre-fl
Better wheels, better lights and some minor details that make the already great S8 even better

Sure, everybody has their own opinion but I think the A8 D3 is the best looking sedan Audi ever made. IMO it has more character than the new A8 D4. The S8 with its NA V10 the most sporty among the 760i E65 and the S55 AMG W220, at least in looks.

Yeah, there is something about that car that is magic. I have always loved it so much.

It's interesting to see that more people are going for the S8 in this poll. I thought it was gonna be much more even, cause the RS4 is one hell of a car.
But then again, when you sit in the S8... oh gosh. Just the Bang & Olaufsen system is freaking amazing. I remember when the S8 came out in 2006 and I was sitting in one at my Audi dealer and drooling over it. Who would have imagined, that very soon, I might own one

If to have one car, of course I'd take an RS4 (or M3, don't want to turn this in vs. thread). But I like true sportscars and large sedans, so I'd prefere to have two very different cars. I don't know what cars you have tumbo, but me also wanting a sedan (used), I'd be only chosing between the Quattroporte and the S8. The S8 will be a better car, as more reliable and more easy to maintain. For me the RS4 is like the M3 CSL, a collector car.
