No
A friend of mine gave me everything to develop and print: tanks, canisters, trays, chemicals, enlargers, papers, shitloads of books, but in the end, I didn't want to occupy my man-cave room with a home lab.

That's fair enough to be honest... it can be a real ball-ache. Of the couple of people I know that still use film both do develop themselves, since for them it's part of the creative process.... both also shoot digital most of the time :ROFLMAO:

That's the thing. With film simulation being so good these days, I can't see any reason past fetish, for shooting film. I take vantage of my film camera having the same mount as the digital one, to use some of the lenses. I wouldn't have a separate system, just for film.

Love the way the Zeiss 50 renders, but a huge pain in the ass to focus in low light, with a dslr. Perhaps I'll get a Sony or Fuji mirrorless to take vantage of the in-viewfinder magnification.

A bit street/landscape from new year holiday getaway:

Once upon a time in the west by Gian Claudio Palazzolo, en Flickr

B&W taken by using a Ricoh GR II, borrowed by a friend of mine for a few days, so I can decide to purchase it or not.
Wonderful camera: small, super sharp, best ergonomics ever. But I find the 28mm equivalent a bit too wide for my taste, I wish it was a 35mm equivalent.
Great thing is you pass unnoticed. My dsrl is silver and so is my main used lens, and as gorgeous as they're, they just scream "hey, here I am" and so ruins candid street photo.

So, this is now one of my favourite personal photo's...

KAMAZ DRIFT! by Matt Stokes, on Flickr

I mean, I love me some 10 tonne truck drifting.. but why I love it, is because I took the photo with a busted collarbone... this meant I had to point and adjust the lens with the left hand, whilst operating a remote shutter release with the right hand which was in a sling... I only mention it now because I stumbled across a video on YT from the other side of the track where I can be seen..

It worked so well I'm tempted to use the technique at other races!

This picture reminds of a view in Northern Montana between Billings and Great Falls.
I always get mesmerized when driving through.
I love it.

I was in Montana on october 2019, an absolutely mesmerizing beautiful state. Didn't have the opportunity of going east side, I was along the lines of Whitefish/Kalispell, up to lake Koocanusa and back to Missoula for the air trip. I insist, it blew me completely away. The heavy snowing prevent me from taking more pictures, but even then...

I was willing to come back on march this year, making a road trip along the west coast from San Francisco up to Seattle, but covid has ruined the plans. I thought Patagonia as much near (for me) alternative, but ultimately will have to pass on international travelling this damm year.

Is that an attempt at the "What do you look like" ala' Giannis?
BTW Mat, every time I see your pics, I want to get a proper tele lens. Love your car's shots.

You were right at the heart of the rockies, expect snowfall anytime.
The drive from Missoula to Bozeman through Helena is always scenic, and of course if you continue east, you will get to Livingston the gateway to Yellowstone. If you do decide to visit again and do Yellowstone it is best you stay in Bozeman overnight just because it is cheaper and then drive the next day. And plan the whole day for that event.
Those are beautiful pictures.

And it was fall....but on the other hand, meant lots of beautiful autumn colours I never get to experience. I live in the lowlands of Bolivia, between the dry, super hot Chaco in south and humid, very hot Amazon basin up north so fall and winter is a non existent concept in my region

Btw, this is a nice valley north of the mountain range of my picture:

Not the best pictures, but you get the idea. It was mid day and light was too harsh. Foreground included in all pictures, to give an aproximation of the depth.

Thanks! Yellowstone is on my shortlist, for sure! But still have to explore Glacier national park more. I could only get to West Glacier on my first day. The day after, roads were closed and wouldn't open for the rest of the week I stayed there.
Finally Bozeman also hosts Gibson's acoustic guitars factory, so as an instrument maker, that's a hotspot to visit.

Thanks again.

The lady on the stairs is mesmerizing and, to me, quite unusual as a set up. Whatever it is, I love that picture.
Thanks Mick! To be honest, it was my friend's idea. We were looking for some shots against a mirror in my house, and out of nowhere she thought the stair would make a good background. Here's the one in the mirror:
