Looks like this thread has turned into "Post your latest photography"
I'll hop on the trend I guess. From this Friday's nightclub shoot, just random people
So I went out to the city on Sunday night coz I was just itching to do some night photography...and since I recently got interested in panoramic photos, I thought I'd try a night panoramic of Sydney Harbour.
It's nowhere near perfect, but for a first attempt I think it's pretty good.
This is a panoramic made of up 6 individual shots, and it was stitched together using the 'Photomerge' feature in my version of Photoshop Elements (big thanks to Dominic for the helpful advice and making me aware of this feature in P'shop!).
Here are some other shots I took, these are just single shots not panoramics. I'll have to work on the sharpness of the images next time..and I took me about 2 hours of taking photos to finally come up with the right setting combination..but it was well worth the time and an enjoyable night out.
Well while out at Red Rock I did a pano test. Took the tripod and panned about 180 degrees. The first post is the entire pano... very small at 18mm. The second is at 49mm. I cropped the left hand portion and resized. I have not posted a pano before so we will see. I used CS4 Pano merge program... seems to do an excellent job.
This time shot with the Canon 50D and the EF-S 60mm Macro lens. There has been a lot of flack about IQ from the 50D which I think is not quite accurate. Hence the posting of the is image...
Here's an old photo I dug-up and improved. Rather 'simple' photo in terms of the subjects in the photo, but what I like about it is the depth of field, and the interplay of black & white between the top and bottom halves of the photo.
