Germaniac - I assume those are aborigines? Good stuff. I have a very hard time shooting people.

Ahah na they're from Papua New Guinea, country just north of Australia, been there five times over the last few years. And yes :) people are usually unpredictable, especially when you're going for the whole unnoticed/photojournalistic feel, so it's hard to get the placement/composition lookin good....

hehe no problem most of my recent ones arent on the puter cos I've been using alot of film recently, so you'll have to make do with some of my older digital stuff.... again most of it's from deviantart and most taken in Papua New Guinea.

I resized them quickly using imageshack so they're of a reduced quality, better size and more photos can be seen at http://haydskies.deviantart.com/gallery. if any of you are interested in photography or art in general, you should head on over to deviantart... great tips to be had and a very nice community feel :) haven't posted there for yonks myself but still a great place..

damn Germaniac. You are darn good at taking photos and so is everybody else. I'm really not the artistic guy but i can tell if something looks good or not.

Yeah guys keep posting you're pictures.:eusa_clap

Damn that Germaniac, he can make a leaf in a puddle look good.

Notic, and Osna.. also artistic stuff!

Most of my photography is more of the informative rather than artistic stuff - just to help me remember what I did, who was there, or where I was. I suppose it'd take more effort than I'm willing to put in right now to learn how to take some nicer photos.

Wow, didn't expect so much photography enthusiasts here.. great pics guys:t-cheers:

Here are some of my photos.. I should take some more pictures to post here:D

I thought I'd update this thread since I just transfered all my cell phone pictures into my laptop. Again, I'm no professional, I just point and shoot :D

I suggest that some of you check out the new Nikon D80 which will be coming out in a day or so.

I currently have a point & shoot which is an Olympus Stylus 800. However, I will be purchasing a DSLR down the road (two months)

I am considering the following:

Nikon D200
Nikon D80
or
Canon 30d

I think the D80 is set to drop tomorrow. Photo and specs of the camera have already been leaked and so has the price. Its rumoured to be quite expensive (without lens).

Have you checked out the Sony Alpha? the specs seem pretty good bang for buck.

Can all of you that are posting pictures post the equipment you use

the photos i posted are taken with either a canon rebel xt (350D) or a sony point and shoot (i think its the T1).

You know, I love Nikon but I can't help be attracted to Canon's capabilities. I am stuck in the middle to be very frank with you.

I have seen the Sony Alpha but I must confess I have not researched it in depth. I will though.

I had a Canon Powershot S80 but it got stolen in Mykonos :( which also means I lost all my photos of Greece and half of my Italy pictures.
