It was handheld, no flash, F/10, 1/40 sec, @ 11mm, Sigma 10-20mm, shot in RAW.

Post processing: HDR from single RAW file, done in Photomatix, opened in Photoshop CS4 and burned the sky/dodged the car, cropped the right side of the photo, cloned out the poles and blurred the license plate. That's all. Hope it helps and thanks for kind words!

Dom, instead of blurring the license plate, just turn it into plain white

Yes, other people also suggested that...this way it kinda draws attention to it and that's not what I want. Next time I'll make it white...

Why not clone it out all together in black. Since there is not a lot of detail it would just show the car without a plate in the front which is the ideal way if allowed by law (which it is in Nevada.)

The SL will turn 5000 miles in the next week or two and is a joy to drive Dom. Just love everything about it... Should be top down weather here is less than a month, maybe less. Love to hear the exhaust with the top down and a quick get-a-way from a light or stop sign.

Have only seen one new face-lifted '09 around here and that is odd, this area is full of MB's but no new SL's. Sales were down 42% in January for MB so that may account for the lack of new ones.

Hi Dom... I took the liberty of cloning the grille out. I also highlighted the Audi logo and chrome around the grille and headlights. I think this is what Audi is known for... the big open mouthed grille and the license plate really doesn't do the image any justice. Just my interpretation. A very nice image regardless.

Nice to hear that. I still think your SL is classic, while new FL is not really on that level, although it is a great car IMO. Enjoy it!

The background is heavily photoshopped. I removed a bunch of parked cars by smudging it heavily to the right. Also adds to the "speed / motion effect" of the two cars.
