Just spent last Saturday at BMW Welt.




The BMW Isetta Experience - BMW offers visitors the chance to experience the Isetta. You'll be driven around BMW Welt, inside and outside. This thing is loud and smells awful. Check out the video. hyeah:

Highlight: The new BMW 1M - PURE ETERNAL HOTNESS!

The new 6er sure looks nice in white. In the press photos the car might appear fat and heavy but in real life it's really sleek despite being a rather big car. It doesn't come across as "ungainly" though.

BMW has turned their lineup around completely. Once they get rid of the 1-Series they will have gotten rid of all the ugliness. I can't wait to see the 6er in person. It looks good in some pics in the right color and then other times it doesn't. GOTTA see it in person!!!

You have to admit that BMWs are some of the best looking cars on the road now. Amazing what a difference 9 years make, the start of all the ugliness (the 2002 7-Series) is but a distant memory now. The fly in the buttermilk is that they're seemingly not a sporty as before, waterdown even according to some of BMW's only fans. SiGh.

Why sigh?

How many of these BMW fans are just fans and don't actually own one of these new generation vehicles? I would actually ask past and an existing ownere what they think.

I don't fully agree there. While they've certainly turned around their Sedans and some Coupes, they have some of the worst looking cars on the road today IMO. X6, and 5GT being at the tip, then you have questionable things like the 1, X1, and I'm sure the upcoming 3 GT will be almost as "hold on, let me grab my barf bag" as the 5 GT is.

It almost seems like there's two groups of Designers that the brand utilize: One, for the classic and classy looking stuff coming out today, and another for the weird and "let's throw this and see if it sticks" designs coming out.

And Amazing pics Wimmer. Love seeing those classic models. That classic 3-Series brings back memories. That thing defines that period of late 70's into the 80's, such a special era (and when I came into this world ).
