The MF5 Roadster will be made out of the same aluminum monocoque chassis as the coupe version. It will come with a V10 engine from BMW with 507 hp (just like the coupe) and will do the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in 3.9 seconds. Top speed will be 309 km/h (192 mph).
Prices for the MF5 Roadster will start at €189,500 (or $276,000).

IAA 2009: First view of the Wiesmann Roadster MF5

Wiesmann, the luxury sports car maker, presents at the 63rd International Motor Show in Frankfurt starting next week the new Wiesmann Roadster MF5 in a world premiere. Exclusively for press representatives Wiesmann publishes today a first view of the new hand-crafted sports car. A car the shows at first sight what it is: a Wiesmann.

With a top speed of 310 km/h and completing the sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds the Wiesmann Roadster is strength, elegance and speed. Equipped with a V10 engine, 507 HP and 520 Nm torque, it's a car that appeals to all the senses. What makes it even more exclusive is the limited edition of only 55 cars.

The Wiesmann Roadster MF5 costs from 189.500 Euro (German price including tax) and is the most exciting combination of power and an open-air experience that has ever been built by Wiesmann.

Like no other Brand before Wiesmann is known for the exceptionality: Hand made purist sports cars combining classic design with state-of-the-art technology. Today the International Motor Show IAA opens for press and there are even more than two reasons to enter the Wiesmann area in hall number 5 on the exhibition booth B18. It's the world premiere of the brand new and strictly limited Wiesmann Roadster MF5 with 507 HP and a 5 litre V10 BMW engine. At the same time visitors can have a look at a unique and unprecedented activity for the IAA. The manufactory of purist sports cars from Duelmen in Germany is going to install a car live in front of the audience on the IAA. The Wiesmann GT MF4 will be produced during the 12 exhibition days and shows the secrets of hand-crafted sports cars live in Frankfurt. Delivering a top speed of 310 km/h, an exceptionally low power-to-weight ratio of only 2.7 kg/hp and completing the sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, the Wiesmann Roadster MF5 takes even experienced sports car enthusiasts into a brand new dimension of driving enjoyment. This exclusive open-air experience will only be available to a select few because the spirited power package is only being produced in a limited edition of 55. Equipped with a V10 engine, 507 HP and 520 Nm torque, it's a car that appeals to all the senses. The extendable rear wing of the roadster version plus perfectly balanced suspension set-up guarantees the necessary stability, even at top speeds. The Wiesmann Roadster MF5 is available from a basic price of EUR 189,500.
Live production of a Wiesmann GT MF4
On the last day of the IAA the September 27th normally every engine wakes up and drive out of the exhibition hall, but one engine wakes up for the first time and run never in a car before. The completed Wiesmann GT MF4 is a product of the IAA. Two members of the staff will finish the work on the car from the September 15th till the September 27th exclusive and unique at the IAA in Frankfurt.
