I just think it's shameful of them to even publish such an ad. Not against competitive adverting as such, but this just fails to be funny or true in any way. Can't forsee it increasing their sales either.

I have posted this video already in the A3 sedan-discussion. The reactions were the same like yours and I´m thinking like you, too.

Ah sorry, looked only in the garbage bin, as it's the only place I'd place it :D Rumours are that it's their Superbowl ad? Face palming for Audi here..

Wow cringe worthy like not much else..

Tragic.

^^It was no crit that you have posted it too. :) I hope you have it not misinterpreted.

^i do not understand what you are trying to say..

I read your post several times.. im none the wiser..

@Artist, RS meant post number 3, he didn't mean your post.
@RS, No I didn't take it that way, I was just unaware of that it had been posted here before and if I understood correctly you can't find it without the link, so thought I'd share it here too :)

But yup, it's just so embarrassing, everyone behind it should just get fired, seriously. A 1.45 minute long video that showed just a couple seconds the Audi itself, didn't learn anything about the car itself.

^I believe the reason was the "^". First I had only one of this in front of my post. After posting I saw that you have few seconds ago posted, too. After this I complements the post with a second "^". But in the meantime you posted your "bad". So it´s nobodys bad.

It's a really lame ad. Audi comes off as some jealous little beyach.

M

As I said in the other thread. The ad is tasteless and poorly executed... really stupid.
Their car still looks a million times better than what the competition has to offer tho :D

As said in the other thread: I don't get the message. Why being ashamed of luxury cars (by BMW, MB, Lexus itd)? What's Audi trying to say? That Audi is not a luxury brand? Or are they implying again that "Audi is a new (kind of) luxury" - some sort morally superior due since it targets younger generations? Or are they saying that luxury is now affordable - with A3 Sedan priced just bellow $30k - so you don't have to be rich to afford it? But then so is the MB CLA, and BMW X1 is priced just few $100 above $30k. Not to mention entry versions of premium family sedans (A4, 3er etc) aren't priced much higher either.

So, why the heck should Audi (A3 Sedan) be considered as so affordable compared to others? Or so special to others you don't have to be ashamed driving / owning it.

I really don't get the message at all. What's really the point of that ad?

I think the message they tried but failed to send is that "You no longer have to be satisfied with an entry level car that doesn't look good just because it's entry level"
When I think about it maybe that's the message... I don't know :)

Atleast the benzes looked good in the ad..as opposed to the BMWs.

( last trolling of 2013 gotta hurry up..stressed)

Where? this one does not seem to work on my computer and I wasn't able to find your post :banghead: Do you have a link? or know how is this video called on YouTube? thaanks!

It's working now, Luxury car abstinence. It's really bad, besides, I got a little offended when the guy let the Mercedes keys fall. Those don't belong to the ground.

Maybe we should take the ad like yellow press: watch and no bother about it.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
