A-Class What do new A class owners think of their vehicle so far?

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class is a car manufactured by Mercedes-Benz. It has been marketed across generations as a front-engine, front-wheel drive, five-passenger, five-door hatchback, with a three-door hatchback offered for the second generation, as well as a saloon version for the fourth.

vehicles. we can also get to judge and see how popular it is on this site.
currently in south africa the new A class is currently sold out till next year.

What I (and Mercedes obviously) is how many of you are satisfied enough with your A-Class to move up to a C or E in a few years?

I had a A class...Nice little car but I got a good deal and got a better car in the C class.
Nice car no doubt looks stunning..I liked the diesel motor liked the looks...The interior design was nice but certain things quality could have been better and should have been(not as bad as some members think) I wouldny mind a A45....I am not a fan of front wheel drive.

Happy with mine. Zero problems, no rattles, no gearbox issues, goes like stink when you're not frightened to actually put your foot down, loves the twisties, fabulous finish inside and out. To be honest, I find it hard fault for a what it is. Give it AWD, and a few more ponies (not a lot, just around the 180kw), and it would be close to perfect. The question about upping to a C or E, hmm not sure about that, the competition is very hot in that range.

Great car. I really enjoy driving it every-time. I am a huge fan of the car. I have purchased it in the year of 2014 and has shown not a single problem. I could say that I am a proud owner of the car.

I sold mine 12 months ago. Got tired of the rear breaking away- understeer one minute, the bang, the rear is coming around in front of you the next. It also needs more kw, but not unless they get the traction sorted. Before I sold the A250 I also needed to replace the family car and bought a Range Rover Evoque, and the crazy thing is it's actually faster around the twisties than the A250- and significantly! IMHO to be deserving of a MB 'Sports' label, it should be better than it is - and at the least equivalent to a Golf in the handling stakes - and it's not. So the A250 needs AWD or the VAG electronic diff lock like on the current GTIs, and 180kw. Otherwise it's a great car and I was really happy with it.

I assume your A250 didn't have AWD?

I've got a CLA 250 with a little over 20k miles. Love the car, but have dealt with a lot of rattles. Most were resolved from the outset, now I just don't feel like going back to the dealer for more fixes. I just turn up the volume on my stereo.... Other thing that has stopped working is the start/stop, but that is a huge blessing.
