E-Class W212 W212 diamond white AMG panoromic roof or w212 Calcite white AMG panoromic better?

The W212 and S212 Mercedes-Benz E-Class series is the fourth generation of the E-Class range of executive cars which was produced by Mercedes-Benz between 2009 and 2016 as the successor to the W211 E-Class. The body styles of the range are either four-door sedan/saloon (W212) or a five-door estate/wagon (S212).

W212 diamond white AMG panoromic roof or w212 Calcite white AMG panoromic better?

Which looks better?

Any photos to compare side by side?

In Asia, we can only choose calcite or diamond white. Don't have arctic white.

Is Artic white same as calcite?

I really don't know which nice??

Pls help!

The picture I see on page 14 on the official e class thread the white I wonder is which white...?

Best bet is to check them out at a Dealer. Calcite is the same as Arctic (MBUSA Marketing feels that Americans will like "Arctic" more than "Calcite".... Which I have to admit is true).

Arctic/Calcite is a more pure, yet kind of warm/creamy white. I love it, as it's no nonsense White, but has a lot of depth and richness for white, and looks fantastic when light plays with it differently.

Diamond White is just a stunning, and gorgeously rich color. However, one thing that would keep me away from it is how hard it apparently is to paint-match it, if you ever have to. It's not as sharp as Arctic/Calcite White, but it's more sheen, more elegant. IMO it's more feminine (pearly) than Arctic as well.

If maintenance wasn't an issue, I'd choose Diamond, but I like Arctic equally and am very happy with it.

Somehow in US , the artics always look so white more than the calcite in Asia. I really dont know why... The calcite white in Asia is always dull white and yellowish after sometime.... I really wonder if they are same....

But K A, your ride is nice!!!

Polar White (149) vs. Arctic White (650) – 2013 Mercedes-Benz Color Update

Our first Polar White (color code 149) C250 arrived today! To my eye the Polar White is a little brighter and a little more WHITE than the Arctic White. I would say that the Arctic White is a little creamier or has a little yellow in it. Of course, until I parked them right next to each other I would have said they were exactly the same color! I have included the side-by-side pictures for reference. Can you guess which one is which?

The Polar White car is the luxury model in spot #34. The car in spot #35 is a 2012 C250 in Arctic White.

Thanks, Wolf! I've been waiting for a side by side!

As expected, Polar is more of a basic WHITE white, i.e loses that creamy warm depth of Arctic/Calcite White. It sure does pop though, more-so than Arctic obviously as it's brighter. I want to see it in person on the W212.

Since white has become a popular colour, there has been a movement for car companies to make their standard white creamier, and then add a brighter whiter white to their list, for an additional cost of course.
