UG. Don't know what to do! My 2018 C43 just arrived at the dealer today for me to pick up. Fully loaded with design interior etc. I am leasing... If the facelift came out in January then I would wait, but my feeling is it won't be till summer... Annoyed I won't get the facelift. Interior is such an upgrade!
I am guessing the w205 fl might get the whole lineup of new generation Mercedes' 4 cylinder engines(M264 and OM654) . Looking forward to see the output figures of the petrol engine other than the C350 which will be getting 300+16hpC53 Cabriolet with 400hp I6 please. 2018 is going to be one of the best ever years at Mercedes for product updates/introductions.

I blame it on the run flat tires. The thing I noticed is that even though the handling felt sharp and responsive in daily driving situation, once you start pushing things close to the limit, you start to notice the softness and delay response in suspension to maintain the body control.I hope the FL isn't just superficial and Mercedes refines the ride and handling compromise on the w205. Many local reviews have taken issue with the ride characteristic of the W205 and it's not the class leader the W204 was in this department. I certainly don't think the ride on mum's W205 is anything special and she even has air suspension.

Interesting, might have to get this month's copy of Wheels, and yes after 1.5 years with the car, I think the 250 engine tune is starting to feel a bit slow, it still goes pretty quick when the engine is on boost but that performance window is limited.I don't know if you read this months Wheels review where the C-class came in last place, which is a drastic turnaround from the W204. They said it looked frumpy, which they are obviously talking nonsense as it's one of the best lookers in the class, but it was held back by suspension tune and the 250 engine, which they did concede has now been replaced.
BMW IMO has more experience and thus does a better job with the runflats. Supposedly though Mercedes runflats are slightly different to those on the BMW's.
I agree with Emex's observation, the suspension never seems to settle and fidgets over road imperfections. It also slams hard into larger ridges and holes. It's lacks the beautifully resolved ride of the W204.
My friend with a AMG equipped C250 without air suspension has complained about the same thing and he's quite disappointed with the ride.

Just had a quick flick through the article, what amazes me even more is how fickle the opinions of journalists are when it comes to their reviews, not so long ago they were raving about ever aspect of the W205, now their criticism range from the unsettled ride to the "brash" interior trims. All things considered the W205 is a fine car, it just needs a few minor adjustments and I hope MB can sort out all the squeaks and rattles as well. It's amazing how the performance goal posts have moved on so quickly. 6.7 seconds was nothing to sneeze at a few years ago.
Have a look at Lexus's engine range and they are well behind the Germans when it comes to performance and consumption.

The engine sounds a little diesel like at cold start but after it warms up it is actually very quiet. The reviewer was clearly a little biased against the C in terms of looks and interior. He also suggested the 250 donk sounded more like a diesel, which it clearly doesn't.
