The C320 CDI W204 looks like a very impressive car for its time with good power and great economy.

The W/S204 C-Class cars rank among the best M-Bs of all time. Stellar vehicles in terms of robust mechanicals and build quality, corrosion protection and, in several engine configurations, immensely durable.

I have always liked the W204 C-class, it is one of my favorite C-class models. I thought it was a major improvement on the W203, which although was a fine car was let down terribly by its interior with cheap plastics. The W204 was built very solidly and is a nice car to drive. I drove a C200 CGI about 10 years ago and was impressed by its solidity and refinement and nice ride comfort. It felt like a proper Mercedes behind the wheel. The interior of the FL 2011 models were superb, they were built with even better materials than the first models and had Mercedes first gen central infotainment screens.

Especially the C180 and C200 CGI's were seemingly indestructible, provided that the maintenance schedule was adhered to. Autobild's former long-term test "plain Jane white" C180 CGI is legendary here in Germany. Finally retired from the Autobild log after 15 years with over 600,000 kms on the odometer about one year ago, it continued as a daily driver. It may even be running today. Only one larger repair on the engine-a rattling timing chain that was replaced around the 155,000km mark. That is very impressive.

AMG C63 Edition 507 is one of my dream car!
