Hot! W12-powered Bentley Batur

Latest news, trending discussions, reviews, and major updates
The problem that the car is looking cheaper than the regular continental gt.
how they want to sell it at 2m?

Cheaper? don`t think so. The designers have taken a minimalist approach.
It has all the stance and presence as the Continental GT with a slightly more sculpted face. It somehow loses the Bentley theme wth the changes to the headlights.
Change is necessary though. (The S-Class for example has changed headlight shape many times over, the W221 is the worst offender yet all versions are still honored as looking like S-Classes)

The B-Pillar flowing to the boot and the rear is where things fall apart IMO.

My opinion it looks like Korean or Japanese car, instead actual Gt which looks very luxury
They've anthropomorphised it for (east) Asian tastes. I won't spell out the obvious. No doubt it went down well in the clinics.

Asia is where the money is.

I personally like the CGT better, the rear of this car looks like a mix of Jaguar F-Type and Aston Martin Vantage. Not digging the front lights, they dont look anything like other Bentley cars before this.

They should have made it bigger, at least equivalent to the Flying Spur. Bentley's two good products, namely the Continental GT and the Flying Spur, are the work of a designer who is no longer around, and by the looks of it the new direction is unpromising.

Everything indicates that Bentley will be far behind Rolls Royce during this decade, in terms of advancement in electrical and emotional matters of its new cars.

You put this car next to Spectre's mules and it looks insignificant in dimensions and emotionality.
Spectre will completely shame this, if this is any type of indication of Bentley's future coupe design. I will continue to maintain the argument that BMW has done a much more phenomenal job in preserving Rolls-Royce than VAG has for Bentley.

I often think how RR would look today if that crazy technicality, that favored BMW, didn't happen in 1998.

This could be a hint that Bentley is planning to ditch circular lights because this car unlike limited edition Bugatti or Lambos, does not have any brand dna.

Totally agree, they came with an understandable status margin, but with this Bentley takes several steps back, they sold 18 because it was impossible to convince 20? I think so.

What you say about 98 is important, to have 10 brands is cover a lot, sometimes there are not so many capable people to delegate to, that's why they call Rimac, that's why this Bentley has exactly the same greenhouse as the Audi Quattro concept and the front fender of a Toyota, a Genesis and a BMW from 5 years ago mixed, cheap and old, with the 2M. you buy a Cullinam, a Wriath, a Down, a Ghost, a Phantom and I think you have some coins left over, wow

And a nice Flying Spur W12 Mulliner, magnolia colored exterior.

The Batur is a take on what the EV Bentley models will look like.

I'm not sure about the exterior, but the interior is absolutely like an inferior version of the current cgt, especially from what I can tell the steering wheel is quite a downgrade, very tacky and the same can also apply to other details.

Looks nice, but 2 million for what is an slightly re-styled Continental GT with 18 carat gold bits in it? I think Logan Roy has the perfect to how much Bentley is a$$$$$$king for it:

I actually like it, but my two main problems are;
1) the cheaper, standard Continental GT looks more majestic, while this looks a bit too shouty for a Bentley IMO
2) That price tag

I wanted to see one in Bentley's "Ruby Red" colour! I wonder if it's within!

I really hope this isn't the directly Bentley design is going. They need to keep the round headlights. This thing here has Aston-Martin envy and it's terrible.
