Full article: motorauthorityWorking with the new BMW M3, Vorsteiner has attempted to recreate the flavor of BMW CSL models, which had extra power and lighter kerb weights to provide a more exhilarating driving experience. This Vorsteiner creation replaces some of the original parts with carbon-fiber replacements, and along with a titanium exhaust that shaves weight and opens up the sound, wider wheels and more power the Vorsteiner M3 is expected to be a more engaging drive than the standard M3.
The V8 found in the standard M3 has had its engine mapping altered to squeeze out an extra 40hp (29kW), raising it to 460hp (343kW) total, while torque has also been improved to 328lb-ft (445Nm), up from the standard 295lb-ft (400Nm). The electronic speed limiter has been removed, allowing the Vorsteiner M3 to reach almost 200mph (320km/h).
