Spyshot of the upcoming ID.4 (aka ID.Tiguan) quite significant "facelift":

Conventional exterior doorhandles, I see.

A rendering. But it looks pretty nice.

I like the Ford Explorer better, or is that yet another platform?

I am not aware of how the Explorer is being received in the Netherlands, but here in Germany, it has been very far from successful in terms of registrations. A shame IMHO. I think that it is a visually appealling vehicle.

I like the side profile proportions on the MEB. For some reason Ford was able to make it a slightly more "cab rearward" design with a flatter hood, more upright A Pillar, and no window extension past the doorline in the A Pillar compared to other MEB cars.

My wife and I need to educate ourselves regarding new German market incentives for BEVs. The incentives will encompass leasing as well as purchasing and, at first glance, appear to be very attractive. Charging is not an issue with us as there are more than enough opportunities to charge in our region. Should these actually evolve into "offers that we can't refuse", the ID.Polo and sister-car Skoda Epiq will be high on our shortlist.

Makes it look a lot more like the Skoda Enyaq, which isn't a bad idea since its the best looking of all the ID.4 derivatives.

Considering VW’s problems. Skoda are racing ahead visually and competently.
The Skoda Peaq takes the brand further upmarket and into 7 seater territory. Finally we get to see that Visually impressive SUV concept come to life and leapfrogging the current non-descript Kodiaq.

On the compact segment there is the Epiq
For the A segment.

Skoda hopes you find it Epiq that they have plastered it with ecstasy pills so you can trip in its epiqness.

A concept from 12 (!) years ago:

And with a design that is arguably more fresh than a far more recent, notable "myth(os)" coming out of Affalterbach.
