Agree.

I'm anticipating some very interesting future products by the Volkswagen, Skoda and Cupra brands. Although I believe that Audi will have to fully restore the now too long gone luster that once made it such a formidable brand. Prospects appear good with Döllner and Fraschella. But new products that clearly reflect a transformation for the better need to be presented SOON. I'm not that concerned regarding Porsche. The brand equity is extremely strong and Porsche has managed to pull itself from the edge of an abyss several times over the course of it's history.

Why would you say that?

Because, if you're having to frequently put fuel in a car (ICE or EV) then the petrol tank is a lot more inconvenient than simply plugging it in while going about your business. I'm currently at my mum's in Leeds, in our C-Class. Before I do anything today, I've got to go to the petrol station to put fuel in. Had I been in the Macan, I'd have charged overnight while sleeping, and I'd be able to start the day with a full battery. Before we set off from Limburg two nights ago, I had to go to the petrol station to fill it up which, as I was busy, was a pain in the arse.

Anyway, let's not turn this into ICE v EV.

Taking a second look, this may not be the production version of the ID.AURA concept. But rather, a larger Passat-sized BEV/REEV sedan more closely related to the ID.CODE BEV sport utility crossover.

Whatever, it promises to be a handsome vehicle.

Taking a second look, this may not be the production version of the ID.AURA concept. But rather, a larger Passat-sized BEV/REEV sedan more closely related to the ID.CODE BEV sport utility crossover.

Whatever, it promises to be a handsome vehicle.

I read in cochespias.com this morning that the car is indeed NOT a pre-production ID.AURA prototype, but rather a sedan developed by Volkswagen Anhui featuring a good deal of Xpeng developed technology. Reportedly far more closely related to the upcoming Volkswagen ID.EVO sport utility SUV as well as the recently presented new Xpeng P7 sedan. This would indicate a vehicle far larger in dimensions, speculated 4,750mm or perhaps considerably more in length, than the ID.AURA concept. So, an electric VW Passat of sorts, only far more dynamic in appearance.

Another interesting observation is Volkswagen's Chinese joint venture partners as well as Volkswagen brand global design chief Andreas Mindt displaying an affinity for floating roof themes with blacked out, tinted glass surface mimicking A-pillars. We see the feature on the new Xpeng P7, the Volkswagen ID.EVO and ID.ERA concepts, ID cars from Anhui Volkswagen and apparently this new sedan.

A cool and modernistic Land-and Range Rover, KIA GV60, MINI and 1980 Ferrari Pinin concept touch.
