In real world driving, Model S will always be quicker and more responsive than the M5. That is, unless you don't mind sitting at a stop light with the bloody engine revving at 3,500 rpm in launch control mode while passersby give you the finger.​

ICE cars have to be "launched" at their peak rpm. Electric motors give you maximum power every time you step on it.​

Nothing can compete against it not even an M5.
I guess that it also handles great dispite all that weight as it has the lowest possible center of gravity thanks to the battery positioning.

Yeah but for the length of the drag race the Tesla was very fast 310kW(Model S) versus 414kW(M5). However cold hard numbers don't spell the story out since the Tesla's advantage in acceleration is all due to how all that power is delivered.

I'd love to try a car like the Tesla Model S. I mean, if it can deliver in the driving dynamics and provide at least 500 kms of range (and not costing an arm and a leg), I'm all for it.
