Not much difference is there, it really comes down to how much money you want to spend, which makes me think you really have to like the Audi interior more than the Golf's to justify the price differential.

I would not pay for an Audi that's almost as good as a Gold for half* the money.

Here we are talking about some €2k base price. Both are pretty barren, as per usual when it comes to Volkswagen.

60,000 NOK in Norway, it's a pretty big chunk of change and you could buy a load of options for that.

And this is why I think the small premium (In Australia at least) for the A3 is worth it. In terms of looks and interior class, it has the VW licked.

The Audi has the Golf licked interior wise but exterior, the Golf R just looks meaner than the S3, the S3 looks too much like the standard A3
